i speak like 20 words in german, so i have almost no idea what this opera is about, and this song still makes me cry. absolutely incredible composition and performance.

This Opera is about Vivaldis life. At the end of his life, Vivaldi came to Vienna by invitation of his mentor, Emperor Karl VI. Unfortunately his mentor, KarlVi, died 1940. Few month later, Vivaldi died too in Vienna.
