Honestly, I don't think anybody has a perfect purity story, even if he/she did save themselves for marriage. The truth is purity is a thing of the heart. And, at some point in ALL of our lives, we have not walked in purity. Just wanted to say that. It is really Jesus that brings purity and makes all things new, regardless of our past. Thank y'all for this series!

That's not true. I know people that do have the perfect story. God is able to keep us even from youth
@gabriellejones64514 жыл бұрын
I’m sooo glad you said that! So many people think they’re pure because they haven’t had sex and some Christians make people feel less than because they had sex or issues like that but you’re right it’s a heart issue! The Bible says if a man looks at a woman and list after her he’s committed adultery so we all need to be aware of that and pursue purity in the heart and mind as well❤️
@gabriellejones64514 жыл бұрын
There’s no perfect story because no ones perfect. God knows the most intimate details we don’t.. also they were saying purity is a heart issue meaning it’s not just about if you didn’t have sex before marriage it’s about what your thoughts are your desires your heart. The Bible speaks on that also Matthew5:27-28

I recently ended a relationship that wasn't going anywhere and had distracted me from my walk with Christ. I believed the lie that this relationship was as good as it gets for a 30yr old woman like me. It was only because of my relationship with God and his conviction that I was able to release myself from that prison and remember that I'm not forgotten. I just happened to stumble upon your KZbin page TODAY and I have been tremendously blessed. It is so encouraging to know that there are still men actively pursuing God out there and that not only am I worth the wait but so is he. I'm yet praying that he comes and soon :-) but I find so much comfort in your posts. I will probably watch them all today :-) God Bless you, Ashley and Carrington, and Ashley, I'm for sure gonna hit you up when I finally meet him. We will have a TESTIMONY to share for sure on your dating with purpose. Okay, off to watch Single, Saved, and Secure (or insecure in my case :-/ ) Pray for me!

Awesome!!!! Your husband hit the nail on the head about "conviction". Regret will keep us bound in so many ways. But with every stumble there's a learning lesson and I love how you both overcame that. Its about being honest and transparent about your mistakes and seeking God on how to prevent it from happening again. Wow!!!!!Great video!!!!

Thank you so much for this vid! I had been feeling down about my struggle of staying abstinent. I often would start strong, but when a guy entered my life who I really connected with I would fall short after he would pressure me or even made me feel guilty for not having sex. I really appreciate Carrington's comment about making sure we're both on the same page with purity because it has NEVER worked when I have tried to have a pure relationship and the guy had no intentions of staying abstinent. I am actually considering getting a purity ring so guys can know right off the jump that i'm not playing around. Thank you again!

I know I'm super late watching this video and I never comment on KZbin videos, but Ashley, I relate to you so much when you said you wanted this perfect purity story and had to evaluate your heart and ask yourself, "am I doing this for God or myself? " I too held onto those feelings of guilt. that touched me beyond words! keep the past, in the past. God bless you for admitting that and saying that. I absolutely needed to hear that and it is definitely confirmation for me. love you guys!

Thanks for your transparency! It's helpful to see different versions of the purity walk. Different people come with different struggles and on the road to victory, we need to celebrate the wins, even if the journey is not perfect. It makes it relatable to a diverse crowd.

Sister you slayed this video look! Gosh, the God in you guys continue to radiate through this screen. lol I truly am glad that you guys over came the guilt from your past because to have y'all's testimony is perfect just for me due to God's mercy. I appreciate the talk about letting go of guilt. I felt guilty for not letting go of a "friend" the devil was using against me to place a wedge in between my blessing and I. God warned me but I still danced around the fire. Although I let him go I pray that my blessing is still protected. I felt just horrible for not letting sooner but this testimony will encourage me if guilt ever tries to sneak back up! Thank you and many blessings to the both of you!

Thanks for sharing this so honestly! My fiancé and I have been together for Seven wonderful years! About a year ago we gave our lives to God and have been practicing abstinence for the past two years. It has not been a smooth run, so hearing from you guys makes me feel less alone! The challenging part is that we live together, sleep in the same bed! We've always had an amazing chemistry and physical connection so this is very difficult. As time goes on, we pray more together, worship together and that helps tremendously with those urges. We are still learning about those boundaries. We are very affectionate and I love a good kiss session 😊. But I now see that that is something that can and has opened us up to temptation.

Still loving the series! Y'all are such an inspiration of what a Godly marriage, courtship, dating situation looks like!!! I love it. You asked for questions..can I ask what advice you have for girls that are single, working on building a solid, personal relationship with God but still desiring to date? I know I feel like I'd like to date or get to know guys while I'm growing closer to God rather than wait until everything's perfect in my life or with God but I feel like I keep hearing it's better to date when you're in a solid place with God. Please advise! I know a friend of mine that's struggling in her relationship with God & sometimes just goes straight off to dating a bunch of guys in order to get attention, pass time, fill feelings of loneliness which I totally get. I used to do the same thing..I personally thank God He's been helping me fight the urge to do that myself. I just wanted to know if it's okay to try & date Christian guys to pass the time per say? I rambled on but hope that makes sense.......love your videos! Keep 'em up :)
