This website contains all my 94 course lectures (8.01, 8.02 and 8.03) with improved resolution. They also include all my homework problem sets, my exams and the solutions. Also included are lecture notes and 143 short videos in which I discuss basic problems. ENJOY!

Thank you so much professor, through your lectures and some only practice websites, I was able to achieve an A* in Cambridge A-Level Physics with just 5 months of preparations.

i know this is a really stupid question but is there any specific material i need for the string to make it reach the resonance frequencies well. I know I can't do it with a wire too tense, but I have no idea where to get the right kind of wire long enough.

Why does it only go into resonance once the heat is removed 38:35

no self-respecting EE, not even one from MIT, would ever call sqrt(R^2+X^2) an "impedance" and would always write Z=R+jX a complex quantity whose modulus (magnitude, absolute value, etc.) is |Z|=sqrt(R^2+X^2)!
@qcislander5 жыл бұрын
True... but as you might have noticed, at this point in 8.0x series, Prof. Lewin hasn't yet begun explaining the use (and utility) of the complex plane in describing and working with this stuff. These are freshmen "intro physics" students, not EEs, and as juvenile as it may seem to you, my own training as an EE *also* began with no reference to complex-plane representation.

EE undergrad here. Do either of you (or anyone else) know of a more advanced EM series that's pretty good? I love the subject and want to supplement the EM Fields courses I'm taking at university.

@@bassboy2947 try 8.022 by Scott Hughes of MIT. It's probably available on MIT OCW.

sir,in the solution of problem 4 ,why you didn't divide d by Km as well as the L? Shouldn't you divide it by divide (L+d) by Km? Thank you
