8.1 Vortec Fan clutch Removal and Replacement on Workhorse W24 Winnebago 38J W0007657 W0000193

Is your engine running hot?
If your 8.1 Vortec Engine in a workhorse chassis is over heating the fan blade clutch may be the problem, the clutch part numbers are W0007657 W0000193 but be sure to confirm this by your vin number. Note new part number is W8002567
Do not be tempted to get a after market clutch they don't seam to old up if you by chance come across one that does work please let me know.

Hi Kevin, Thanks for a great video! I followed your instructions to the tee. The only problem I had was with the tool I rented from Autozone for $25.00 which was refunded after I returned the tool. My problem was the 36 mm wrench was stretched from 36 mm to 38 mm and did not engage the nut properly. It would have stripped the new nut on the clutch. I went back to Autozone and went through 4 more tool kits until I found one that was 36 mm. Once I had an undamaged tool things went very easy. Also be sure to reinstall the shroud seals on the sides of the shroud. My coach did not have the seals so I had to order new ones. Anyway, all installed and working as it should. Thanks again ~ Bill

Awesome video . Scan gauge saved me as the dash board gauge didn’t budge but the scan gauge would show me every degree change. Kevin , How many hours labor should I expect to pay for this clutch fan replacement? Thanks Jack&Molly

What would be a high temp for up hill pull. Mine has gotten to 225 F on my scan gage and not move the dash gage past midway ? I have to say that as soon as the #2 fan or the clutch fan engages it drops immediately to 204 F.

Sounds like your clutch is getting weak or your radiator is dirty how many miles you got ?
