I have been running these wires for the past 8 years, and 46000 miles later they are still performing like new. I would like to encourage you to support Brazels RV they do a lot to keep our Workhorse Chassis on the road.

Part# SPW8100 - UltraPower 8.1L Magnum Workhorse Spark Plug Wires
Plugs I used ACDelco 41-101 Professional Iridium Spark Plug amzn.to/3AT5NiA
Update about spark plug gap
We’ve done a lot of dyno testing and with our Magnum wires, there was absolutely no difference in power between .045 gapped plugs and factory .060 gapped plugs. Removing the resistance in the ignition wire has many benefits! Back when we use to run Taylor wires, the .045 gap worked well but with the Iridium tips being a bit more fragile I recommend leaving them alone at .060.

UltraPower Magnum Spark Plug Wires are patent protected because of the unique method of producing these wires which have extremely low resistance while maintaining very high noise suppression. The benefit of this invention is that full electrical energy from the ignition source is transmitted to the spark plug. The end result of the application of this method is increased horsepower, torque, fuel economy and a smoother running engine.
Features:
Patented Solid Stainless Steel Core Spark Plug Wires with RF Eliminator
The technology in these wires comes straight from Nascar and is not available on the open market. They are made out of a patented zero OHM, solid core stainless steel wire wrapped by silver plated copper conductor wire and are outfitted with an RFI eliminator collar that guarantees no interference with radios.
These wires must be installed with GM factory heat shields which may be reused off your old wires.
High temperature silicone boots, 8mm jacket with fiberglass-reinforced braid that resists temperatures up to 500°F.
Increase power to the spark plug up to 400% over stock!
Adds up to 15HP on Big Block GM engines.
True Life-Time Lasting Wires, Life-Time Warranty!
Applications:
Workhorse chassis with 8.1L (2001-2011)
Workhorse chassis with 6.0L (2004-2006)
All GM vehicles with 8.1L (Silverado, Sierra, Avalanche, Yukon XL)
Industrial applications with 8.1L (Generators, Forklifts, Pumps, Compressors, etc)

I put on a set of these plug wires, and new spark plugs before I left Iowa this Fall, and I really see a difference on my fuel trims on my Scan Gauge 3.

We have a 2004 Adventurer 33 with the 8.1 on the W22 chassis. These videos are a great resource. Thanks for your time and effort in producing them. How have you found the reliability of the vortec so far?

Good job, I am picking up a new to us 2003 Winnebago Adventurer 33 with the Sparton W22 and the 8.1 vortec. actually today.... I do not have much history on it. I ran into your your channel and been enjoying the videos. I have to say you are very thorough, I'm a bit picky myself and fairly mechanically inclined. My rig needs new shocks to start off with (I think they are original) and some TLC, I am purchasing it from an older couple and he did not do much maint. himself..they have not really used it much in a year or more.. any suggestions on shocks? I will be doing the wires and plugs just to start from scratch.. oil change.. possible trans fluid ect. , I Like to install a trans temp gauge.. any suggestions there.. keep up the good work !! I would appreciate the input... Thanks, Mike

@@ktoutdoor Thank you Kevin, picked her up Friday afternoon. Been in the back yard working on her ..took a bunch of photos of the undercarriage,.. shocks defiantly need replacement. I will send you some to your phone...... engine and trans are dry as can be...very happy about that... Ordered the Allison spin on filter and their special fluid from Amazon... figure for first I just drain fluid and change spin on filter and fill.... drive her a bit before I do a full pan drop and change the main filter ... don't want to have Issues with the trany as it's shifting just fine......I will do a second drain and fill in a few hundred miles, Very much apricated. Do you see any need for the EXTREME wires that provide a much higher temp rating? Thanks for this video. One of my next projects on my 2005 Adventurer. Next week it is replacing a leaky fuel pump.

I think its a great tuneup option and its hard to argue with these specs. High temperature silicone boots, 8mm jacket with fiberglass-reinforced braid that resists temperatures up to 500°F. Increase power to the spark plug up to 400% over stock! Adds up to 15HP on Big Block GM engines. "from dyno pull before and after" True Life-Time Lasting Wires, Life-Time Warranty! Why is your pump leaking ? pump inside tank ? did you get a OEM pump ?
@lonesomedovefree1429
@lonesomedovefree1429 3 жыл бұрын
I already dropped tank and found it wet on top of the pump. I talked to Alan at Brazels and he thinks pump more than connection. I installed the fuel pressure gauge you did, thanks to your video, and have steady 61 lbs at idle and 2000 rpm. The new OEM pump will be here Monday. Wish me luck!! PS...When I switch engine off the pressure drops off quickly..

Kevin, When I asked about the EXTREME plug wires I meant the more costly set from Brazels that is rated for 1500 degrees. Do you see that as overkill or is there valve for us on our 8.1’s?

I reached out to brazels RV this is what they said... I only recommend them to people who had had repeated wire failures. The original reason we had those made was for Edelbrock who was supplying a similar engine to the 8.1L to California port trucks that move containers around, low air flow and high engine temps were destroying all other wires they tried

@@ktoutdoor Thanks Kevin. I am having no such problems so guess I will go with the set you did.
