Yes, I bought FSD when I bought my Model Y more than 4 years ago. It has improved a lot over time, but still difficult to completely hands-off (and absolutely no eyes-off) on busy city streets. Elon's decision to use camera-only system means FSD does NOT have "true redundancy", and therefore it's unreliable, in my opinion at least.

Thanks for sharing. Just check there balance sheet. If the price drops to $1.5-$3, I'll trigger a position. Their great patents are great but overvalued.

Ước lượng giá trị của 1 stock là 1 chuyện làm khó khăn, phức tạp, đầy những giả thuyết và suy nghĩ chủ quan. Làm được chuyện đó bằng cách chỉ đọc balance sheet thôi thì thuộc đẳng cấp "độc cô cầu bại" luôn rồi. Riêng về giá trị của patents, trừ khi mình là cao thủ với kiến thức uyên thâm trong lĩnh vực chuyên môn đó, có lẽ mình nên chấp nhận mình không biết rành bằng ông tổng giám đốc của công ty 🤔

@@rungrinhschool definitely, my valuation is tons of bias. Below is my thesis: 1. Their cash on hand at $1.5B or $2 per share that accounts for 11% of their book value. They have no debt but their rising R&D expense at $900M (1/2 of revenue in 2023 and rising at 12% per year due to fixed cost of self-driving cost) concerns me. Please note: self-driving is a subfield of AI. Mobile Eye has no mass fleet to collect data but relies on synthetic data (replicate driving environments on computers). This fact technically leads to so high cost of data center rentail. In other words, their financials are not solid given their rising R&D and single-revenue-stream business model. 2. I'm not the CEO but has certain knowledge in engineering/AI (not self-driving). I have no idea of what research at Mobile Eye Global. However, my guts tell me that patents or tech research is not as important as data collection. Data accounts for 70-80% of good AI. As explained earlier, I doubt that they syntheticate (aka create fake data). It's great but limited compared to real-life data. Perhaps, that's why they focus on the assisted driving, instead of the fully self-driving by Tesla. 3. The last concern is their business model: selling software (they produce no hardware, just outsource assembling hardware from partners) to end users for one lump sump and trapped in the life-time insurance. Life-time insurance: they have to keep R&D and update software at end users without additional revenue. My price range $1-$3 helps protect me from unforeseen future when their financials starts souring. The CEO and his team have great reputation from the research community. However, the business model is Microsoft in 1990s. Look forward to further discussion in stock picking.
