*Eastside Low Bottoms sh*t !* _Tappin' in from South Central LA_ Fred is the man ! Everything on SNL from Frederico to the Telenovela guy to, yes, Nick Fehn. There's been multiple occasions where I've referenced Nick Fehn and have even shared those KZbin videos. Gaddamn hilarious !

I really wish you'd asked him about his Latin American roots! His mom's from Venezuela, born in San Fernando de Apure, and he even lived in Brazil for a bit. His family has this awesome mix of cultures-European, Asian, and of course, Latin American. Since I'm from Venezuela too, it always gets me excited when there's a connection like that!

"Our hombre Fred Armisen comes to us via satellite uplink on another extra-special episode in Podland, USA." Not Podlandia? hmmm Skipping past this huge miss, another fantastic episode. Jason never stop asking industry questions - musing about how SNL Musical guests get booked - it's great. Will and Sean awesome as always. I love this show.

I've listened to probably 6 episodes from this here Smartless podcast. I'm just at the point now, where I can listen to Will and NOT be expecting some sort of gag or punchline! Currently re-watching 30Rock and just finished Arrested Development so I'm just now getting used to Will ask some questions on a topic and know he's actually interested in the person's story and not going to have a gag at some point during or after the story. He's actually a very good interviewer and asks great questions that I would ask myself so I'm gonna click that subscribe button.

Sorry, but Sleeter Kinney is a terrible band, who take themselves way too seriously - the all female status is not that big a deal. The Liverbirds and many other far better female bands predate them by decades

20 SNL cast members and “they’re all great” ha! ridiculous. SNL was much better with just the 7 original cast members and those writers.

Lorne once said that everyone loves the SNL cast they grew up with the most.

I always think of Fred Armisen as a “musician” the way I think of John Mayer as a “comedian”. These attempts to claim a second career they would never be known for or succeed in is annoying. Lets raise the bar.
@huntercrosby88823 жыл бұрын
You’re seriously kidding, right? The dude was a punk rock drummer for like, 20 years before starting comedy. He’s written and performed entire albums for his own shows. He’s said in nearly every interview that he’s a drummer first and foremost. Comedy is his second career.
@ili6263 жыл бұрын
@@huntercrosby8882 Yep, apparently he was pretty mediocre that whole time. So yeah, completely serious. It’s truly astounding to me that he - and Carrie Brownstein too - consider their musical talents noteworthy in anyway. It’s genuinely bazaar to me how they take themselves seriously in this regard - especially considering their comedic sensibilities. It’s almost like a running joke - like an Andy Kaufman prank.. I half expect them to drop the act and say “Just kidding everyone! We know we suck haha!”. Also, the punk drumming is definitely the easiest among all the genres (simplicity was the whole idea of punk). Eventually bands like The Clash, The Police, and Minute Men, stretched the genre, but Amisen is definitely no Stewart Copeland or George Hurley
