Perfect city car for office goers. A good choice as a 2nd car too. Small dimensions, ample space for 4, adequate range for multiple office trips, great build quality, Low NVH and ridiculously low cost of running and maintenance. Icing on the cake is the perfect pricing, at 9L this seems far better value to money proportion when compared to a petrol hatchback. This will be a smash hit in the urban and suburban areas. The only downside is range as it cannot be used for outstation trips.

It can be as outstation trips are mostly within 400-500 km..though there will be some time consumption due to charging

@@GreenDriveIndia only if you have charging station en route. That's not the case when you are travelling in rural or suburban areas. Charging infrastructure is still in early stages right now. And waiting 1hr in the middle of a highway to charge is not what everyone likes. ICE cars are still the pick for outstation trips

Tiago iCNG is better the difference can be used to fill CNG and do commutes . If ur running Is around 100+ km per day then only it's worthwhile. Otherwise CNG is better in city and no range anxiety

Hybrid engines seems more logical to me considering the limitations of EV cars and infrastructure in India. Government should reduce taxes on hybrid cars.

My comment might be irrelevant to this video, but as Ravi Bhai said, it's good for office goers. Knowingly or unknowingly today's consumerism is pushing us towards doing 9-5 jobs our entire lives. It's a vicious circle 😎

In fact, the real viscious cycle is the ideology which is being forced by thr modern feel-good movies and social media pages, that a 9-5 job is equivalent to slavery. Young people are being indoctrinated to think that being self employed is very stylish and fashionable. Needless to say people in general are extremely insecure to think that each one of them is being crushed by the bosshood of their seniors, which is absolutely not the case. Every job and self owned business has its own role in the society and the world. A person needs to understand his/her own priorities and skills before fantasizing the life of Bunny from Yeh Jawani hai deewani. I have seen both sides of the coin, and I can tell eith ky first hand experience, that a 9-5 job definitely gives more stability and personal time than a self owned business. A self owned business also takes away from the family time. There are no holidays even if when there's a day off. On most of the days, I keep working for 14 hours, and it requires a hell lot of patience, physicality and compromises. There's no time for relationships, friendships, movies and stuffs like that. On top of that, a very strong financial background or a great deal of savings is a prerequisite for quitting a 9-5 job. And, on top of all that, the most important thing is having a true devotion for the domain in which the business is going to operate, and not just for the sake of "I am my own boss" kind of childlike sentiment.

All we need is Tiago Hybrid.. for those who wants to avoid anxiety of discharging and on long trips it will work as a a charm with better mileage and can easily by opted as 1st car.

Hybrid's Only concern is that base model will start with 11.30 instead of 9.2 lakh. On road. And cost per km increases from 1 to 4 rupees.

@@rashmi6182 I agree with your points. I believe they might need to increase the size but remain under 4m or have to further optimise the usage like in cng they used bpot space. Maybe the battery / electric components can be placed in place of spare wheel / below the boot. Ofcourse trade offs would be there but i feel it can be a good option. About prices, i dont think it will be beyond 10l as maruti is able to provide smart hybrid cars under 10 as well. However the main thing would be the adoption of it then only it will be able to define its ROI. Personally i would love to have an hybrid small hatchback car.

There is always a huge difference between the claimed range and the actual range in evs cars in India and i feel even in petrol cars the claimed mileage is always more especially by companies like maruti, hyundai

The top model tested is about 12Lacs on road. Not 8.5Lacs. If you want to keep claiming 8.5Lacs, please test the 8.5lac model and show - it has a weaker motor and a smaller battery. So, not really the same car. The difference between claim and reality is too big for Tiago.ev. The "long range" 24KWH battery model was marketed as 315km range, and most people expected real range to be around 250km. Not 190-200km. Unlike a petrol engine, The smaller battery 19KWH model was claimed at 257km. Looks like it will do about 140-145km with careful driving. People who booked it expecting 180km real range (30% less than the claimed 257km) are going to feel cheated. EVs also lose some of the range every year due to battery degradation. And if you try to use the full range often, the battery degrades faster. It is best to use the 'middle 60%' from 20% charge to 80% charge if you want the battery to have a long life. That's only 85-90km for the 19KWH Tiago model! Tata has people's trust on electric cars. Why don't they break away from the rest of car makers, and lead the market in honesty in EV range claims? 1. Market the realistic range that the instrument cluster will also show? The ARAI number is completely useless. Tata can take care of range anxiety by claiming 'Honest range of 200km' instead of the more than 50% inflated 315km. 2. Sell the cars with bigger batteries so they achieve at least 75% of the claimed range under normal city+highway driving.

Ohh matalbh 10 12 lacs ki gari kharidkar bas 25 30 kms hi ghum sakte ho iska kya matlbh hua... Isse acha toh petrol cng ya hybrid hai... Kaam running main bhi zyada kharcha nhi hoga... Aur bahar jane ka taxi boht fare lega hadh se zyada kabhi taxi rent pey leke dekho maine toh boht baar dekha hai... Jabh mere pas koi four wheeler nhi tha... Banda ane jane ka bas 168 kms hi hai uska 4 hazar mang rha tha abh socho long trip pey kitna kharcha hoga...

Unless and untill an EV with more than 400 KM range comes below 10 Lakh Rs., there is no use of buying an EV! Otherwise You will always think about battery left, range anxiety and range anxiety!

Sir mera har 2-3 mahine me 1 baar mumbai to Rajasthan ka tour rehata hai, jo ki 900 km ka hota hai, iska matlab muje har 200 km yaani kam de kam 4 baar par charge karwani hogi, jo ekbaar charge karne par kam se kam 1 hr to lega, aur aagey koi dusri car lagi ho to kam se kam 2 hr yani me kam se kam 6 hr late ho jaunga

sir i have one doubt as after 5 years approx we changed our invertor as well as vehicle battery after a certain period of time. so will this EV car requires battery change after some years or the technology of these car is differenct so that no battery change problem will be there ????

Real life me bahut achha product hai ye. Maximum log daily ka 20-25 km hi chalate hai. Ek bar charge Karo poora hafta chalao. Compact car hai city me easy rhegi use krne me

Jisko auto se jaana hai wo agar har mahine ke 5k bhi pay karta hai to bhi 8.5 lacs ki gaadi se sasta hi padega kyunki usi 8.5 lacs mein wo 170 mahine tak auto se travel kar sakta hai 😎😎.. assuming auto fares and running cost of an EV are the same. Auto fare bad bhi gaye to bhi wo araam se 140..150 mahine to chala hi jayega. So ye wale comparisons mat do.
