I reckon the PEPCON explosion still is the biggest one in US history, together with the Texas Refinery Fire and the West Fertilizer catastrophe. The latter caused severe casualties among the firefighters, as they had already got close to the blaze when the explosion happened.

I don't see why US Marshals or the SWAT team would respond unless there was an armed individual or some sort of terrorist attack going on in this case it was just a fire
@PTRRanger9516 ай бұрын
@@Maizefireyou would be surprised. Fact is there probably was swat there, not in full tac gear, but it was a county wide tac. That means a lot of units go that are not otherwise tied up. People are called in on units that are subject to call in, like swat. That may have a full time swat that works shift work, but they also have spare teams that are swat but not the full time team, they would get called in too. As for the Marshals, any county that is large has joint units with the Feds. They have deputies that are assigned to the task force with Feds and unless they have something major going on, whatever team was on, probably went. It could have been a team consisting of officers from every city in the county, CHP, USMS, FBI, county SO, DHSI. They will still go if needed. Manpower is manpower. There doesn’t have a be a terrorist attack or someone armed for swat or marshals to be at a location.

Maybe you could get a police officer on a power wheels car to respond to this fire as well, they responded in practically every other type of vehicle So far I've only seen one fire vehicle heading towards the fire and that was a Ford F-150 pickup truck with a camper shell. That's the one thing I always hated when I arrived at a fire scene I could never get the engine in the first time because of all the police officers parked everywhere. It finally got to the point we complain so much that the city finally told the police officers unless requested by fire or EMS only two officers could show up at a structure fire, because the last time I checked structure fires didn't care if they got arrested or not
