Do try Paella in Taverna El Glop at Sant Lluis, Barcelona. I tried Paella twice there and absolutely loved it. Should definitely be in the top 10 lists in Barcelona.

I though you’d have Arume on the list

Pez Vela was overrated. Just eaten from there and not that great. Paella was burnt and have 2 prawns and 2 clams, very underwhelming. But the Iberian ham was sublime.

That's very odd as we had a lovely experience there! We'd love to know which Barcelona restaurant has been your favourite so far?

Most guides recommend avoiding Paella in Barcelona. Paella should be left for Valencia. Another bad list for Barcelona.

Jason, love the insight! Maybe you should start your own series: 'Paella Police: The Quest for Authenticity.' Can't wait to see your recommendations!

avoid in turistic areas full of English, American and German people, because they eat whatever thing you put in front of them and finds it awesome (sad but true). Anyway, avoid places in Summer full of pink-redish skin people, places with paella pictures (and/or 'chorizo paella') and places with Menús written in Engl/German/... and you'll be more or less safe. Also, avoid guides from people who doesn't even know how to pronounce the word 'paella' and says 'payeya'... xDD
