This feels like the song that would play in the background when a villain showed up in a video game (or maybe a boss fight!). I feel like the villain would either have a tragic backstory similar to what this song is about or be the person putting the protagonist or one of the other characters through what this song is about.

haha, yes!! i'm glad you noticed!! what i actually do in making the melody is that i try to imitate the timbre of an actual voice using the synth (by adding "voice cracks", "riffs", "volume fades" etc.) :3 i usually do this to add more emotion to my 8-bit covers!! thank you

Im pretty sure that if you tried making money out of it, you get copyrighted for it. Usually you get copyright if you dont credit either

Wait... Some parts of this cover make me very oddly nostalgic... A if I've heard these sounds before but I have no idea where??? Like, yeah, I know this song, but the feeling isn't really related to the song itself. It's just this particular 8bit note on 0:32 (and other parts) that triggers my brain I don't know why?? Just where did I heard it before?.. EDIT: Okay I have guesses. Not sure but maybe it reminds me of an old guitar toy from mid 2000s that I used to play as a child. It had automatic play mode and there was a big button with a frog in the middle that was singing a particular song that I still remember. It doesn't sound like this cover but there were other songs that I don't really remember that much, maybe they were more 8bit-ist. OR it reminds me of a computer toy from the same time period. A little learning machine with paper cards with numbers, pictures and music... They did sound 8bit but I'm not sure they were tuned exactly like that. As I'm listening to this song over and over my memories and expression fades away slowly and I can't really tell... Maybe I'm twice wrong about what it reminded me of. At that point, it could be anything 8bit sounding from my childhood (but at the same time it's not, it's something very specific) Anyways, great job, author, thanks for scratching my brain!
