For practice, you can select any book and try to classify it according to its content and title. Practicing will help you to get real experience on the current books and their titles. For Catalogue every book has its details such as publisher, author, pages, ISBN, etc, Keep one scheme in hand such as AACR2 and its format. Try to put things where they belong. If you can't find things leave them but as you try to find things you'll be able to recognize them gradually. For academic purposes your provided study material is enough.
