Have you ever bought something you thought you loved, only to regret buying it further down the line? Well, we’ve all been there and in today’s video, I am going to talk about some of my biggest clothing regrets. Most of my regrets are “final sale” items. I’ve trained myself to skip them now unless I’m 100% familiar with the fit of the clothes. And yea, if the return policy is a hassle, I’m not buying.

I completely understand this regret ...as we all have been down this rabbit hole with items purchased. I purchased an AMI sweatshirt and had wanted one for so long and when I received it I did not like the fit...what a let down. However you made a good point and if it doesn't work chances are you won't like it later so I returned the item. Note I liked your bomber jacket and sunglasses on you but I know if your not happy with them - trade them for something better...cheers for another good video!

color analysis is really important. the reason you don't look good in beige is that you're probably cool-toned. if you look the best in black, you might be a winter palette.

You’re right! Cream sweater,keep it, red / cream just give it away lol. Bummer nylon jacket give it to Tom Cru 😜 cargo pants give it away lol & the hoody . Chino’s cool. Sunglasses try rayB wafer might suits you And try incorporate your wardrobe with Pastel colours so it’s not drastically shocking in your eyes. I’m also a black,grey,white fanatic & it suits me & I love ❤️ it. Stick to your choices & style ….. that’s your signature 😜👏👌👍❤️

There's nothing really wrong here except for the sunglasses and the red/beige sweatshirt with questionnable sentences on it. The acne studio grey sweatshirt looks good, as do the rest. As for me, I've bought a couple of t shirts that look more like a summer dress because they are so long, and a pair of chinos from Carhartt wip with a slim fit and low waist, two things I hate. I feel like I'm wearing leggings in them and probably wear them once a year just to remember why I never wear those. I don't bother selling them for 20 euros, might as well keep them. We do make mistakes.

So I have 3 pieces from NN07 first one I like a lot and seems to be holding up well. This piece prompted me to get the two others. Both did not last after one or two washes on cold and air dry. I believe the only reason the other is holding up is because it is wool. NN07 and Ksubi are my worst experiences with a designer brand.

I always wanted to buy something from Ami Paris and I'm glad i didn't. The red heart adds a splash of colour and it really looks good on you, but I wouldn't feel comfy with this big logo on my chest.

Mate check out Everlanes 5 pocket performance pants. Good price and up your street I reckon. smart but very versatile and comfortable. Buying the right trousers / chinos usually a nightmare til I come across them. Come up higher on the waist which I find is better than the NN07 if your wanna tuck in your tees as well

great video mate. I kind of regret spending a bunch of money on a pair of 11 by BBS Bambas, kind of hard to style. But I love looking at them so much on my shoe rack, they are works of dystopian art. Does that justify spending £500 though well probably not.

Wash clothes inside out cold water no detergent then hang washing out on the line. Your clothes will last longer.

I don’t buy a lot of clothes so I don’t mind spending more on what I buy. Also, these items hold their value (apart from the faded trousers) so you can sell it on for more than you would get for cheaper items

It's so easy to convince yourself you need a certain piece of clothing. That you will be more satisfied or happy when you get it. However, most of the time it's better to keep that cash and just appreciate the pieces you see, without having to own them yourself. Maybe like art. It would be absurd if we spent money on paintings, like we do with clothes. Obviously this argument is flawed in many ways, but I think sometimes it's good to stop and look at everything in a different way.

I relate so much to the buying new colours that arent black bit! I love pink shirts/polo's etc in the summer, so i tried one to break my mostly mocochrome outfit, and they just didnt feel very "me" as much as i liked the idea. Since then I've stuck to monochrome and im a lot happier not forcing myself out of my comfort zone too much. Its a comfort zone for a reason!

To avoid buying clothes which looks great by themselves but not good after put them on, I usually only buy the brands with model shots in their websites. If not, I will searh the model shots of the pieces I love in the internet. I hesitate to buy ALD because they do not have model shots in their website though their lookbook looks great

You are right! Never take any impulse decision while buying 9 times out 10. It fails. I like your all black& white wardrobe. I am including more and more blacks and white. I have discarded all unused items and clothes that don't fit right. I already feel blessed and it seems like a load is off my shoulder. I'm becoming a minimalist and finding the whole idea of buying less a favorable idea cuz I only wear a selected few clothes in my wardrobe. So, there's no need to keep the rest

My biggest regret is wasting a lot of my money on graphic tees when I worked at Uniqlo. There are still some I like but I am barely wearing 90% of the ones I own. And I have a lot. But now I have to donate or sell what I can to clear space. Luckily I bought some versatile basics, knits and pants before I left, as well as some great thrifted pieces I am happy with. But man a lot of money I could've used on even more versatile pieces from different brands won't fully be recovered.

The ALD quality has definitely dipped since it’s hey day. I find a lot of synthetic fabrics and polyester mixed in and they don’t hold up well past 1-2 washes. But that’s just my experience!

You think the Acne studios sweatshirt is boring? alright, here's an idea: wear a button-up/dress shirt underneath it and let the collar and cuffs show (maybe let the little flaps at the end of the shirt peek from underneath the sweatshirt too) now, of course: this is for more colder days, but you're in the UK; so it really doesn't matter

For most clothing you can’t sell unless it’s from a select of luxury brands. A 200 pound sweatshirt will sell 20 pound, even if never worn, not to mention you have to take pics, spend time etc. Just throw them away

I concur on the reasons you do not like the items featured in the video. They don't quite look like you. With one exception though. I actually think the sunglasses look great on you. At the end of the day though. It's all about the way these items make you feel, so for you, the glasses don't work for now.

Think about this way! I pay attention to the color schemes of brands. For me I LOVE, Loro Piano and Brunello Cucinelli! Same with Club. Monaco. I try to buy from them or match there style with other brands. I just loooovveee the whites, creams, beiges, tans etc that those brands have

ALD always runs big on me. I find the quality is better than most and I try to buy the most versatile pieces with subtle logos or minimal graphics. As far as regrettable items, I own two of the same style hoodie from Rowing Blazers, in two different sizes, of which I've only worn ONE of them ONCE! It's a long story. Love your content.

I feel like the hype around ALD kept people from admitting that the quality was never that good to begin with. The styling was king. Quality has definitely gotten worse on their standard items though. They usually have 1 or 2 items that are obviously the "flagship" items which are custom made with premium materials, but you have to pay an outrageous price. Like the white and black leather jacket had a lot of work put into it, but they're not doing good quality control on their shirts and chinos.

Their hoodies and sweatshirts used to be incredible quality. Had a few pieces from them that I wore a lot and lasted me years. Sold them now but they still looked almost new

To add, the ronning cargos are NOT great quality. I loved them, but had to throw them away after around 20-30 wears and 2 repairs. It was getting holes and tears everywhere. Definitely not what you expect for a pair of cargos, especially judging the price

My problem with ALD is I think the stuff they design is beautiful but 90% of their line is made in china and still costs a fortune. Not that great quality things cant be made in China but if Im gonna spend $400 on a sweater I want to be sure that its great quality and craftmanship and made somewhere like Italy or elsewhere in Europe and theres just more of a chance youll get lasting quality there instead of Chinese factories.

I have so many regrets when it comes to clothes. I also have slightly chunky legs so it's difficult to find pants that aren't either too baggy or skintight. I like my COS trousers but the pockets are way too shallow that they're barely functional - WTF COS ?

Do not wear cargo pants unless you are regularly going to use the extra pockets to carry essential things.

Not that much items in my wardrobe that I regret buying. My wife really helps me decide when I'm in doubt. But I can find some examples. When we were traveling in US we done quite large shopping in outlets. I was sure that I want some more smart clothes in my closet (I usually wear street style). I bought some blazers set in my closet for 3 years and I have never wear them, so I just sold them recently. Recently I bought G-Star chinos which I really liked. Quite traditional look with a G-Star style twist. I do love them, the only problem is the color - navy was the only one available in my size (it was on huge sale). I do not wear navy usually, but that one was really dark, almost black. But at the end I had them on me only once, so just put them on sale. Oh well...

For me, recently, I bought 2 pairs of Oliver Cabell minimalist white and black leather sneakers. I absolutely hated them. They were too tight on the width, the soles felt more plastic than rubber, and the leather seemed very cheap. I gave both pairs to a friend.
