I recently bought a pair of flat suede shoes in M&S that I would describe as wine red rather than burgundy, together with matching thick tights (part of a pack of three colours). I put them with a dusty pink blouse, burgundy sweater and a plaid skirt in shades of burgundy, wine and pink (all of which were already in my wardrobe). I went to visit an old friend who took one look at me and said "school uniform". Yes, our uniform was indeed that colour, but that was a very long time ago. I've worn the same outfit since and absolutely love it. After watching your video I want to try burgundy with navy and also with red. Thanks Gemma.

I recently bought a vintage cashmere sweater that I thought was burgundy, but in natural light, it was actually more 'brick', lol. Xmas season is around the corner, burgundy makes a good Xmas colour. It looks great if it's accessorised with silver or gold, without looking too 'blingy'. You could also mix burgundy, navy with a dash of white or grey. Cream or beige or nude is good to use with burgundy too, especially in the autumn or even the spring time, it can look very classy and is good for an evening look if you're not big on metallics

I've collected a lot of pashmina scarves. Fold them lengthwise and wrap around your neck twice. Tie the front. The colors really spice up a black coat.

I have too many black clothes. It will take a while for me to transition away from them at the rate I can go. I need to brighten up this black right away. I also need to not disappear in low light venues because of black clothing: When other ladies are looking brilliant in their radiant colors. Black can sometimes look like the help, or the concierge, or customer service, or security, lol, if not done “correctly” at certain venues. It has happened to me-So sad.

I Love Love Love the colour Burgundy. I also love the Berry, Plum, Wine and Aubergine shades. I personally like to pair these with white, cream, ivory, and I love to wear it head-to-toe. For me personally, the colours that I feel just don't work with the five colours I've mentioned are brown, camel, navy, and green, and khaki. It just destroys the look. I also wouldn't put the colour mustard with burgundy. I say put colour combos that work or co-ordinating shades of one colour.

I notice when I get compliments on my outfits - and some are basic, cheap items that after 15 years are beginning to wear thin, it tends to be on the colors that suit me best. If you have a royal purple, you could pair it with pale pink, teal, or baby blue (or light wash blue jeans if that’s your thing). Pairing purple with canary yellow or emerald green is also fun, but very bold (and not all 3 at once, unless you want to look like you’re going to Mardi Gras). I also like dark grey with royal purple!

PS: 2 more things: I put on a ton of weight during Covid lockdown. I am a firm believer in tracking your food. I don't know the app you are talking about here, but I will take a look. I have lost 88 pounds (40 kg) in 14 months. Have 1,2 kg to goal and then it is on to maintenance. Now a KZbin thing. You usually end your videos sort of fast and I often don't have a chance to give you a 👍 before you are gone. Maybe it is only me who wait till the end to rate videos.
