Draft anyone on that roster and you have a part-time player at best. Totally agree on Spencer. Potential ace in the making.

And I’ve heard if a pitcher pitches more than 30 IP the following year there’s a good chance for injury. Thoughts?

Give me a pitcher who isn't? I mean maybe Burnes and a few others, like Gilbert and Kirby. But the vast majority are major injury risks. I won't draft a sp until at least round three for that reason.

Wouldn’t really be a “breakout” or a “steal in the draft” he’s gonna be going pretty early because he’s all hype rn, on an elite team. If your looking for draft value he’s actually an extremely high risk move, hasnt pitched in the mlb yet, is very young, but is expected by many to be a legit ace right off the bat, that’s not easy to do. Nor is it easy to get a good deal in the draft on that level of hype
