Mint is a weird one for me. I find that when it's mixed with lime, I like it the most. I love that summer drink feeling. My mint recommendation is Batucada from L'artisan Parfumeur! It's sweet and fruity but the mint really grounds it and makes it feel super fresh.

I'm pretty much on the fence with any green/herbal notes, but just today I got myself Gemma di Paradiso Roberto Cavalli. It's an interesting minty vanilla that reminds me of mint candies! Later on it dries down to a more ambery sweetness but the first few hours are fascinating! I can see it being refreshing and nice on a summer evening. Really happy with this one.

The “smells like a toothbrush that was just used” totally made me laugh!! I haven’t tried any of your recommendations but florabotanica. At first I felt like it was too green but I keep going to the store and spraying it...it’s quite addictive and very unique. I’d say it’s only a matter of time before I purchase it!!

Florabotanica . Worked with someone who religiously wore it. Very nice. Love You or Someone Like You. Saint Julep . Yup. In downtown Syracuse, the had this old mission styled church. Beautiful building . Membership died down/off. One time while I was walking past it, they had the orange cones and yellow tape around it. I asked a worker if they were going to tear it down. He replied with a no, and then informed me that it was going to be turned into a Mexican restaurant. Also in downtown Syracuse, we used to go to concerts at Symphony Hall. It was a First Baptist Church beforehand, Wonderful place for shows. Great mint list.

The only mint perfume I have in my collection is my latest acquisition...Aqua Allegoria Teazzura. Smells like vanilla mint flavor tea. I really like it but not as in love with it as I am with Nerolia Bianca. I really need to get my hands on Florabotanica. That one sounds really great.

Mega new camera! Love it! I agree with your whole list, especially You or Someone Like You but Guerlain's Herba Fresca wasn't on there :(. That and Florabotanica are my favorite mints but I have St Julep and love it too. You were right, that one is crap longevity and it's not that strong either. I really like it but not sure if I'll keep it.

Hmm there is something a bit medicinal when you firs put it on, but overall it's a very sweet green smell. Lots of Vanilla.

One day I smelled Menthé at Nordstrom and loved it and bought it. On the metro on the way home I kept smelling my arm and realized I'd made a horrible mistake. It had transformed into something that smelled like something my Dad would have worn in the 70s. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful fragrance and clearly well-made. It's just not my type! Just picked up a bottle of Burberry summer for men 2015 and it is one of the best mint summer fragrances I've ever had on not that I wear a lot of mint fragrances but this one I love it... Downside longevity, you will reapply if you want to keep that fresh mint vibe projecting because it it will fade out after a couple of hours the silage is okay but for the price I don't mind reapplying. Some fragrances can be a bit prohibitive when it comes to the opening of one's wallet. I will have to get my nose on some samples of your recommendations they sound very interesting especially the mint julep... I love the slug them down but I don't know exactly what it is like to smell like one unless of course it's the next morning and that's not a good smell at all LOL...

I,'ll go and check out that "dirty toothbrush", ha, ha, ha! I recently got a bottle of Florida Water edc. A nice freshie for summer with what I perceive as a spearmint note amongst the top notes .It's an interesting cologne composition with lemon, gorse, clove and musk, ambar and benzoin at more than a budget price. It works fantastically on hair too and even coditions it a bit.

How about doing a video on "Fragrances for a humid summer?" I think a lot of fragrance writers think of dry heat when they're writing about summer fragrances, and that's just so different to what we suffer/enjoy here in Blighty. Back on topic: the only mint fragrance I own is Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca, very natural like a fresh mint plant plus some grass and a hint of lily of the valley. Longevity is rubbish unless I spray it on my clothes. I own Lush Dirty hair cream - I always thought the name was meant to refer to an earthiness? Anyone else? Just me?

Hi :) I am looking for a perfume that smells just like the Eau de Beaute by Caudalie (it‘s a facemist). It smells very herbal and in the end minty. It‘s very Natural, very light (yet Heavy) and there is no citrus nor sweetness to it - do you Know a scent like that?
