I like how he presented this video. Succent, solid information without flash. Pure information. And, his camera was on Rio, not his face. Too many vloggers think their face is what people want to see, not the destination. Not me.

Solid tips. The only thing I would change is the time to be there. We were in Rio for 9 days and I felt shortchanged. I think for me, you should plan to stay in Rio for a full 2 weeks your first time. It allow you to get all the tourist attractions out of the way and still be able to enjoy the entertainment and varias beaches they have.

Sly bro dude! You rocked it like a boss! My name is Willy Soto and I’m a Puertorrican who now lives part time in Florida USA 🇺🇸 and part time in Rio de Janeiro Brazil 🇧🇷 babyyyy! Bro! Everything you mentioned in this totally awesome video is right on the money and I just wanted you to know that I will be showing this video to all my friends and family in Brazil 🇧🇷 and they are going to love the fact that you did not mention anything about crime happening there. Everyone else’s videos are constantly talking about someone being mugged or robbed and My wife and I hate it when instead of talking about positive things that Rio have to offer, they just ruin the video experience for someone who’s thinking about taking a trip to Rio and when they do get there,you can see the look in the tourists eyes that they are scared and so they will not be enjoying their potentially best trip of their lives. In conclusion…this is the most informative and well explained video I’ve ever watch. Parabéns mano🤙🏽

Hey Sly! Spot on regarding your tips! Thank you for presenting the city in such a great way, not necessarily starting with the beaches but ending there where Rio life is represented at its best. Almost 20 years ago, I stayed in both Leblon and Ipanema, during the three trips I took to Rio while living in Salvador. I loved the city but always felt that something imminent would happen as it was not so safe back then, but you'd quickly would forget about it while enjoying all the city had to offer. Take it easy!
@slyslife2 жыл бұрын
Yo! Thanks for the comment and the insight. Yea, thats why the city is so stimulating - it's beautiful and majestic while being somewhat dangerous (to a certain extent) at the same time. A weird combination, but it works as the city is visited by millions.

I think I commented on this before but I'm back again as I am days away from heading to Rio. I like your videos because you still always include information to be informative. Too many videos these days show you stuff, but they are just showing it. No tips, no helpful hints. And your summaries are always filled with tips of do's, don'ts, and recommendations. It is much appreciated Sly.

Just stay at the Sheraton. It’s a nice hotel. Has a beautiful view of the ocean and some near by areas. It has a private beach. 4 restaurants in/on the hotel’s property. It’s near most the popular spots to visit. And it’s safe and pretty affordable. (Which US money is like quadrupled in Rios $100 is like $400 there for example) Just got back from my two week trip. I enjoyed it immensely with my wife. But, I wouldn’t walk around alone outside the hotel. I wouldn’t flash what I have or bring anything important. I’d stick to tours with safe touring companies. And I wouldn’t go anywhere without a decoy wallet (have your money hidden on you) so that’s about it. From someone who’s actually visited it recently. Good luck! And don’t be stupid!
@simonworsley8631 Жыл бұрын
Think that’s a bit over cautious. Agreed about taking a tour in rye city but walking around alone in the day down the main beach promenade felt completely safe and I was getting my wallet and iPhone out with no fear of either getting stolen. We also visited a month ago.

10 Well, this morning, I want to talk about the subject: "If you are a Christian, then who is your Prophet?" For many of you, it is the first time you hear this question! And yet it is a question you could have heard every day, but the devil has removed it and replaced it by: "If you are a Christian, what is your church?" We are in the fifth dimension with marabouts, Catholics, Rosicrucians, Protestants, evangelicals, Branhamists and voodoo practitioners. And now, by habit, we all speak the language of the fifth dimension, we think and see things after the fifth dimension. 11 When I saw the other side of the curtain in the vision of 1993, a detail had escaped me when reporting it. Perhaps time had not yet come to speak about it. I have recognized the lot of Methodists but as for the other groups, I asked: "These ones, what church do they belong to?" And someone answered me: They are Catholics. And I said: “These ones over there, what church do they belong?” And he answered: They are Baptists. Then, they are Pentecostals, Presbyterians or others. And when I saw another group again, I asked: And those ones, which church do they belong? And they answered me: They are from such and such church. 12 Andwhen I saw the city surrounded by a Cloud, I said: "What about those over there? What church do they belong to?" And I was told: "No! You don’t ask that question there, it is on this side that you can ask such a question!" And I was told: There also, there are several Groups but it is another and only one question and it is: "Who is your Prophet? Or who is their Prophet? ".[Ed: The congregation says, Amen!]. And on the other side, there were no Catholic, Protestant, evangelical, Branhamist churches. And I was told: "what church do you belong to? It is on this side that you can ask such a question. But over there, only one question is asked and it is: Who is their Prophet?" nobody says: "what church do you belong to?" but "Who is your Prophet?" 13 The city was spreading farther than eye can see and there were gates and on the gates and lintels and the Frames of the gates and posts, were names of men as in Revelation 21:12-14. Not church names but men names. They were not in time or in a generation but they were in the eternity. And in the eternity, the peoples of each generation or each epoch had one and the same Prophet. Whatever the country or the place of the world where those elect were, whatever their country, continent, race or language, they had the name of one and the same Prophet for an epoch! 14 At a certain epoch, 800 years before The Lord Jesus Christ, the sons of the devil were scattered and had lot of leaders: some bishops, some reverends and so on, as we see it today. But the sons of God had only one leader, Prophet Isaiah. Whatever the place where the sons of God were, their prophet was only one all over the world. And it was Isaiah the living prophet of their time. From generation to generation that was always so. And the prophet of each was the prophet of his time. 15 And in the eternity, for one and the same epoch, two people cannot have two different prophets. There was no other building but only one Building was there and spread farther than eye can see. I understood that the two places that I saw are on the one hand the Paradise and on the other hand the region of the lost. WWW. Philippekacou. Org

Use common sense. Don't make yourself an easy target by showing valuables, or being distracted by the "scenery". Cell phones are the hot theft item at the moment. iPhones are VERY expensive in Brazil. If you choose to go out late at night clubbing or whatever stay in a group. That's your safest bet. If a hot girl wants you to leave with her, do not go by yourself. This is a common scam. Outside you will meet her "friends".
