It is a very good demonstration and explanation of the phenomenon of absorption of the electric field of an EM wave. Only allow me to suggest that the wire grid interacting with microwaves does not correspond to what happens to light when it passes through a polaroid, since the extinction of light in this case occurs when the chains of the iodinated polymer are parallel to the direction of E. So, I respectfully suggest that this point would be worth clarifying.
