I had a crazy pirates game recently too! started with spat, so I had 4 mirage at first aug, then I got a daeja on krugs and a yasuo early at 8! So much gold, so many items! Anyway I went 6th.

30:03 "Isn't Pyke 2 a bit weak?" He's not if you get him with a guild/dragonmancer spat. Basically, with Pyke you need to hit a damage threshold and then you just win the game automatically. It 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 be difficult to get to that point.

I love people with Shroud so I can put Pyke in front. Makes a huge difference if he gets a couple more autos in before he ults.

Question: is the stack counter on items like archangel staff and rageblade a setting in tft or an add-on somehow? I saw it a couple times now and wasn't able to find out how to enable/get it 😅

The stack counter was added to the current pbe patch! It'll be live next Wednesday.

Am I crazy or is titans resolve pretty good this set? I like building it, lots of champs that scale off both physical and magic damage. Like yone and yasuo for example, have had games where both have one and its great.

I find it being pretty weak, except with Shi'oh. I'd rather build a tank item or a pure damage item.

it is without a doubt one of the best items in game cause it works so well for more than most items. People thinking its weak are the ones putting it on yasuo's. It's great for frontliner that benefit from ad and ap well (Gnar,olaf,shi'oh yu)

@@lucasmitchell9027 Thats the reason it is good tho, its a good tank item which gives a lot of resistances while also giving attack speed, ap and ad, and most champions who build it want 3 pure damage items but also struggle with being tanky and its good for that, its really good on shi oh you but you can give it to ANYONE and its good

I feel like it's amazing, especially if you don't get any Swords. I've had games where my Syfen had 2 Titans Resolves and a Redemption with 8 Bruisers 4 Whispers and despite not having Sword items I still won easily.

I finally used 8 mirage pirates and didn't have much luck, I found completed random items instead of the gold I needed to roll was frustrating. Maybe an item component and half the gold would be more rewarding as I was trying with my soul to finish Daeja 3*. Still, when you get the gold, the build is very fun and you can do a lot of rolling and leveling other builds can't.

I tested the radiant relics today and I got my item. 👍🏽 Played on iOS. Maybe the bug is only on desktop?

I believe it is bugged only in PBE, when you click the augment you don't get the item

On PBE there was a bug. Mortdog took Radiant Relics and got nothing. So he literally had a prismatic less.

Around 23:30 Mort talks about the twitch extension being disallowed because it effectively gave players the ability to scout, however in the AMA from the other day he seemed pretty set on the idea that scouting is not advantageous and effectively something the high-level playerbase has convinced themselves is a necessity. Just curious as to why the ability to scout would then be disallowed.

In the ama he was specifically referring to a 'trick' high elo players use where you cycle through boards very fast in order to scout without your opponent seeing you on thier board.

'Why would I play Zoe without mage' from the guy who said the idea of 5 costs was to be rare and when found they're splashable. True for Raka/Bard/Yasuo, not so much for Zoe...

Even playing mage Zoe feels just okay. Soraka feels actively bad, Pyke feels like Yas but worse. Really wish 5 costs weren't so terrible this set.

​@@hayden8311 I think maybe my preconceptions of 5 costs are due to the new ideology. Admittedly I've only played since set 5 but until this point literally every 5 cost was a core component to a comp. They were the pièce de résistance to finalize your team and really pop off end-game. (Kaisa being the exception as she was powerful enough to cause even late-game pivots) Dragons until this last patch were an utter failure and the only 5 cost that still fits the aforementioned archtype is Yas. In an attempt to make them more broadly available they've made them next to unwanted. Maybe the greater failing is how poorly optimized and uninteresting the trait webs were this set. In any case I wholeheartedly disagree with Mort's assessment.

is jade really too strong? Didn't really feel so for me; i mean yeah its good, but i don't feel its too strong, both playing as jade and against jade. YuGiOh is quite strong, yea, but i feel if it wouldn't, it would do nothing (either dying instantly cause it's one of 2-3 not-really-that-tanky-frontline units, or doing no damage); also it's a dragon, it would be weird for it to be weaker imo

Why are you only getting gold? In my pirate’s 8 i was getting a completed item every round until my team was fully stacked, then it became gold.

I'm going to argue that saying the meta is in a "pretty good spot" when there are two S tier comps and everything else is comparitively B tier at best is just wrong [Maybe some Deaja comps are A tier?]. And it's also not good to say the meta is good when AP is in such a dire state and an entire major verticle [Mage] is basically highroll with an emblem-only.

I feel like you need to transition to shimmerscale dragonmancer once you get to late game with pirate's greed. All.the extra gold buffs your shimmer items

Legit couldve gotten daeja if you bought the other 4cost drags, holding 2 2* 4cost drags will net u 1less roll but u couldve increased the odds enough for u to hit daeja
