What state are u from that allows tinting of the windshield? I requested this when i tinited my i3 and the install shop refused to and sighted pa law did not allow.

That’s interesting! Ohio allows windshield tinting if the visible light transmission is 70% or over. We typically do 80%, so there’s never been an issue. Big difference in glare and heat, even at 80% VLT. Interestingly enough, Pennsylvania law allows the same! Wonder why the tint shop refused…?

did you sound deaden the i3?

Yes, was strategic and did it in the rear hatch area and under the rear seat. Used Dynamat and Dynapad, and it noticeably cut down on the noise from the REx engine. The i3 is already pretty solid and quiet, but it was a good mod. The difference before/after wasn’t as dramatic as the Fit, but I also didn’t want to add too much weight to the i3. 👍
