I LOVED your patriotic craft ideas, especially the wooden beads! I have one suggestion though, to make the crafts look “USA authentic”, I personally would use a NAVY BLUE color instead of the shade of blue you are currently using. It would definitely make them look even better. Again, thank you for the ideas!

Eeek! I usually have my patriotic decor up by now! Which one will I do? Several! As I type I've taken 3 of the tumbling tower blocks and wood-glued them together so they can really set while I'm at work. I will paint and have dh drill the hole for me tonight. Yep, I glued together 2 sets of them. Dh isn't much of a wood-worker so I'me really thinking he's going to mess up the first one ;) What size drill bit did you use? I bought those stars a long time ago and used my acrylic paint to dull down that glitter. I wish I had that ocean paint but my dark blue looks pretty good and I use a deeper red. I painted the beads already, wish I had some different sizes to make the garland look a little more interesting, though! Thanks a bunch for the video! That clothespin star! I never would have thought to do that. I have some of the mini ones so maybe I'll try making some different sized stars. You really are one of my fav KZbinrs....you voice is so calming and gentle!
