There was a battle in Paris Thad/ Mel Jazz Orchestra vs Kenny Clarke/Claire/ Francy Boland Big Band problably in 1969, as Thad/Mel also played in Basle, Switzerland with the same year and personell. Jerry Dodgion told me about this battle and said that Kenny Clarke/Claire Francy Boland BB just had one nuance : ff !!!
