The low frequencies are much more clear and vibrant in 4♎ whereas, the high frequencies are significantly better in 8♎..moreover, both the speakers looks identically similar but still I must say that you have a great pair of bookshelf.. minute differences could have been missed while listening very carefully as the stereo mode was on during trial & test.

the truth is 4ohm play lows better, overall a much smoother frequency reponse, 8ohm has more warmer sound, because frequency resonse, it drops off at high frequencies and it's energy ir more focused on just mid range

The difference is 3db. 4 Ohm doubles the current draw from the amp.

Helo :D , i have a question, i have a mini 2.1 speaker system (Vinnfier ecco 2) that powered with 5v usb and the original sub (3 inch) for the speaker system is 4ohm 5watt, so i really want to know if i replace the original one with 8ohm 5watt, would it give a greater good bass response just like the 4ohm 5watt or not?

After testing my different solid state and tube amps and receivers I believe that 4 ohm sound more dynamic and less bright! Of course your equipment will get hotter as you are producing more power from your amp, in most cases. Not all amps produce more watts at 4 ohms. You need a better quality amp to be able to handle 4 ohm speakers without over heating or even worse damaging your stereo equipment!

Velmi zajímavé téma, mnohokrát diskutované, které by stálo za to aby jsme si jej poslechli česky. Bohužel jsem již z té starší generace, která se angličtinu povinně neučila (ani nebyl zásadní důvod; byli jsme bohužel obráceni na Východ), proto rozumím z té angličtiny každé páté slovo :-( . V tomto výjimečném případě, který pojednává o ryze technickém vysvětlení, bych opravdu přivítal českou verzi. Vždy jsme při našich diskuzích měli za to, že 4 ohmy jsou kvalitnější. Nevím proč? Je mi jasné, že tam tečou větší proudy, ale jestli je to jenom tím, to opravdu nevím. Zřejmě se jedná o celý řetěz (koncový zesilovač + reprosoustavy). Děkuji.

Díky za zprávu. Víceméně vám nic neuteklo, ve videu to technicky nerozebírám .... pouze nechávám diváky posoudit zvukový rozdíl. Většinou dávají hifisté přednost 8 Ohm. Já osobně mám v obýváku vše 15 Ohm. Ale máte pravdu - jedná se o celý řetězec a ne pouze o reprosoustavy.

@@Angelicaaudio Děkuji za rychlou reakci. Máte pravdu, "hifisté" dávají přednost 8 Ohm. Já jsem měl vždy převážně 4 Ohm, tak., jak to bylo za sociku dostupné. Nicméně, je to spíše o pocitech, ta impedance na to asi nemá vliv. Navíc jsem "deformován" tím, v čem jsem vyrostl. Ať se Vám vše daří, jako doposud, je to opravdu skvělé! Jen tak dál.

Might burn the speakers. I'll work but the higher the volume the more chance of burning those speakers. You'll notice the sound go like cardboard. There is a way you can connect them to change the load to 4ohm. There is a bunch of videos on you tube explaining how to do it

Me: whats louder 4 ohms or 8 ohms? Google: A 4-ohm speaker requires more power from an amplifier than an 8-ohm speaker to produce the same loudness of sound. This is due to the relationship between voltage, current and resistance in electronic circuits; for a given voltage, a lower impedance means a greater current. A higher impedance means a lower current.
