The best part was that it was less about the time limit and more that NL was so tired of all of the Dante comments in the chat/comments that he tried to get back at them by mindlessly throwing every upgrade/buff/card copy onto him just to show people he's overrated. ....Which ended with him defeating the final boss with 2 minutes to spare and getting him the highest score. The karma of trying to spite-play the run to get back at chat just to dominate was amazing~

I think NL learned a very important lesson about Dante here. I feel like, up until now, NL just saw everyone saying "Dante is the best card in the game!" and assumed they were saying base Dante is better than any synergy in the game. However, what they were saying was that Dante is the easiest card to make *overpowered* in the game. Sure, there are stronger synergies (that run NL had of only 10 cost Hellhorned units, the "4 creatures are summoned at the start of battle" with the trinket for free imp every turn comes to mind), but all of those need multiple cards/trinkets to synergize and requires some amount of luck to pull off. Dante just needs himself and attack upgrades from a shop. A +5/+10 in the shop? +25/+10 on Dante. +10 attack? +50 attack. Largestone for +20/+20? Turns into a whopping +100/+20. And that's assuming there are no extra blight cards added to the deck (aside from the one from the early ascension). You don't need anything but shop upgrades to make Dante completely bonkers. And if you throw on enhance cards like Sharpen giving him +40/-2 a pop, then the fight is already over. At the end of the day, his low base stats are just an illusion, and that's why they call him *Dante the Deceptive....*

I feel like if you finish a battle early you should be able to do shopping and things like that right now it's like : RUSH TO BUY EVERYTHING RUSH TO FINISH THE ROUND ... wait like a minute while looking at the screen doing absolutely nothing repeat if they made the change it would be like: RUSH TO FINISH THE ROUND Casually buy stuff from the shop, if you have enough time or RUSH TO BUY EVERYTHING if you have little time repeat esentially it would remove the boring wait time after fights you finished early because now you would be spending that time casually browsing through the shop and thinking what is best for your build

Tbh I'm with Old NL. Dante is a bit overrated. If you get the right upgrades on him he's pretty good, but in the few times I had him, he was a _pretty_ good unit, albeit never has he been my best unit. The cloak that he gives you on the other hand... Turning all the crappy spells still in your deck into spells with some actual value is extremely good.

I tried this after one success of the game, and got killed on the second battle (it was just too darn fast). So I spent a lot of time playing, and got a success with each faction (so I could learn the cards), and tried multiplayer again. Got killed the 4th battle that time. It's just WAY too fast, and my friend did not like how fast it was either. They need to add at least 1 more minute to timer, maybe two, before we will try it again.
