Leasing is the right thing to do. Use other people's money. The items like cars will depreciate anyway, so no point buying outright if it's going to loose value. Houses different, if you're living in a house then it's earning money it's costing money so better you rent the house and buy another house and rent that one and make passive income of it forget basically or you borrow money on that house and buy something else to invest in and the whole time the property is gaining value as house prices go up over the long long term. The problem with these rappers is that they rent houses that they can't afford over the long term because their income disappears when they are not flavour of the month anymore. They spend out more than there is coming in for status but their true status is much less than the image they put out.

@@iam5STARR If you know how the industry works, it's pretty self evident. It's set up to exploit the artist. Artists on major labels don't have money, the label does. They get paid a signing advance to go spend on their music/image/brand. That advance is the labels money though, and needs to be paid back. If the artist is successful, the label makes back their money from the sales and its all good. Then the artist gets another advance for the next album and the cycle continues. If the artist is smart, they'll save/invest that money in their career. Eventually they'll have the opportuinty to go independant or sign a more favorable deal. Most artist fade out quick because they don't take that route. They blow the advance on unnecessary flexing, and as soon as their deal is up, or the label stops making back their advance, the artist is left out to dry with millions owed back to the label. As one might imagine, its hard to make payments on luxury homes, cars, clothes, and diamonds when can't even pay the people who own your entire brand. These rappers made the commitment to pay for all that when the label was funding them. If that wasn't the case, why would they be bouncing checks, getting evicted, and having cars repossessed? It's not like they missed on payment, Tyga missed his payments for months, and then got evicted. That's more than enough time to to come up with a couple tens of thousands of dollars for an alleged millionaire. And look at Lil Yatchy, he has millions of dollars of assets that he doesn't even own yet, and still bounces a check for 70k. He literally has less than 100k liquid cash, there's no way he'll ever pay off his debts unless he signs another deal. Even in that situation, he'd probably blow it all again and get into even more debt.
