loving the weekly slice of reefing goodness! and with that technique everyones a winner,cheap decent frags for us and for you,less shading,more negative space for flow, a bit of cash in your pocket to offset the cost and with the disaster recovery aspect its a no brainer for me Alex....i had two basic SPS (monti plate and seriatopora caliensis) both turned into that ultra rare variety AKA snowflake ha ha.

How can I buy some from you! Do you have a website or do I just message you?
@ReefDork4 жыл бұрын
I'm not a proper seller so I just sell a few bits on Ultimate Reef from time to time or take frags to my local shop here in Surrey. No website for now, but maybe one day I'll do a Prestige Reef!

I don't frag zoas in the way you should do! It's fine for me but it would probably be irresponsible to make a video about it. Because zoas form a matt, I just grip them and try to peel off a bunch at a time. You need to put fresh activated carbon in your tank when you do it and it's not always possible - some will 'burst' when you squeeze them and some are too close to the rock to grip. But when it works, it's brilliant!
@kingfishers794 жыл бұрын
@@ReefDork thats an interesting way of doing it kind of like peeling away gsp 🤔....I wonder if its possible to tease the mat off the rock with something like a credit card then scalpel the chunk you want to split.

Hey. Noticed your using an fuji tx-3 (or 4??) Can you share your settings and/or filter :)
@ReefDork4 жыл бұрын
Yep, XT-3. Set your white balance to kelvin then I play around with it until it looks right. 8300 is usually about right. No filter, although I sometimes use an orange or yellow filter with my phone.

Upper east coast u.s. since covid hit, people giving away overgrowth including myself. High end corals pulling down regular low end prices. Stores are basically giving them away. Lfs struggling to get fish in. It's really bad. Cant tell ya how much I've given away or thrown out. It's so sad.

Usually the less desirable corals grow the fastest, stylo, bird nest, or plain looking acros grow like weeds, the designer corals grow much slower
