Motorcyclists in general cause a LOT of accidents damaging civilians vehicles and bodies. If no-one is near by I'll ignore them and won't pull them over but if a civilian is within a couple miles and the riders are speeding or doing anything reckless I'm all over their selfish Douche-bag selves !!! I've seen too many wives, moms, grandmothers, sons and daughters horrifically injured, killed, or having to pay THOUSANDS to fix their vehicles. Losing jobs because they lose their cars. Then to make it worse outlaws will threaten civilians for trying to get insurance involved etc. No honor. The outlaws have changed in the last 20 years. They used to have deep respect for civilians and families etc and I left them alone as did my fellow officers. Something has changed though. I don't see any respect for civilians or even eachother anymore. Now local angels and others are the same as ghetto gang members. It's...I know this is going to sound weird but honestly it's very sad. I know they've always trafficked drugs and whatever but they aren't forcing people to buy. They're going to get what they want no matter who is selling so we'd leave the clubs alone because if it's going to happen anyway then we'd prefer men with honor and respect for civilians and eachother. They used to understand that assaults etc is disruptive to their business earnings and they used to police eachother for rape and domestic violence child abuse. They used to have charity events..they were illegal but rarely..unjust? Not sure how to articulate that. These days we're seeing behavior that would have been SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY internally that's happening all the time. Whomsoever reads this I hope that you and those you care for are happy, healthy, and safe this new year. Semper Fidelis P.S Please forgive me for any misspellings words that are out of context or poor punctuation. I lost my hand in Afghanistan so now I dictate rather than type and the program is not perfect. Traveling the roads is a privilege NOT a right.

What's up, brother? I was a 1% for almost 10 years. It's just that when you're in a group as A MC club. No one just for respect. Should pass them for one because it could Cause an accident. Two when you're in a It's just disrespectful to pass them going back to number one and cause an accident.

I don't care about the "disrespectful" behavior of 1% of the population who, as the term "one-percenter" suggests, see themselves outside of society and the law. Sorry for hurting the feelings of outlaws. Drive carefully, as outlaws do, otherwise an accident may occur.

I've been riding since I was 17. I'm 49 now. I have no problem with MC's, Groups, Organizations, etc, but it's not my thing. When I go ride, occasionally I'll ride with friends, but I like to ride alone. It's my throttle therapy time. I know how to ride in formation, but I also enjoy gliding across the road and cutting around it like it's butter. I don't do stupid stunts or anything, I just enjoy my space. I give the wave to anything on 2 or 3 wheels. You don't have to be a fellow Harley rider. I'll wave at foreign sports bikes, dirt bikes, mopeds, hell even people on bicycles because they may be a future motorcycle owner. My only problem is with anyone who looks down on someone else because they think they are better than them for one reason or another. You don't know anyone else's life or circumstance. You don't know their pain or the different trials and hells they've survived. If you think you are too good to talk to someone because they aren't in a club or they haven't earned the "status" you have, you really need to check your pride. I believe respect is earned individually between each person you encounter. I offer the same amount of starter respect to everyone, general human decency. Above and beyond that, gonna have to be earned. On the subject of wearing a cut when you aren't in a club, I don't wear one. I wear a jacket when the weather calls for it, otherwise just my shirt. I have a jacket that the sleeves zip out of, but it's just a plain jacket, no patches. I've been given patches, I just don't ever do anything with them. Just shove them in a drawer back home. I also don't go out of my way to try to irritate anyone. So if I went to an event and there was a 1% club there, I wouldn't be intentionally trying to push anyone's buttons. After watching videos like these my main concern would be if I did something unintentionally out of ignorance for club culture and someone got in my face over it. It's never happened to me, but I see videos where thing have happened and wonder how I would react in that situation. I don't really want to find out, but I would hope clubs would at least try to be understanding. I don't know man, I'm just the kind of guy who carries around a tire iron in my saddle bags to help a person change a tire on the side of the road if I see a person who needs help. I prefer to be that random nice biker you didn't expect. In the last year I've changed 5 car tires and pushed 3 broke down cars out of the road just because I was on a joy ride and saw that someone needed help.

I have a jacket that has the pink floyd hammers patch..the amount of times people came up to me thinking i was KKK or some shit is annoying worst part is it's the usual suspects karen and daren cause they dont listen they just wanna argue its like dealing with children. Anyway got approached by few guys from a MC lets call the MC "heavens demons" they asked about my patch on my arm cause from their POV when i pulled in to the gas station they thought I was wearing a rivals patch so when the group came over and asked about the patch i just turned a bit showed them it was the pink floyd hammers and we ended up just talking about music, concerts and how much of a twat justina trudeau is. Best convo i had in awhile with strangers where i didn't feel like i was obligated to say something like "beautiful day isn't ?" you know that type of bullshit convo that doesn't need to be had

I’m not saying this about all people who ride but what about the dumb ass bikers that put them selves in dangerous situations on the road then flip out on the car because they almost wrecked? I ran into this a few years ago. I went to get into the next lane so I checked my mirrors to make sure it was clear then started to get over. As I’m half way over this dude on a crotch rocket comes whipping around a car a few lengths back and has to nearly lock it up to not hit me. He starts cussing me out like he wasn’t the one who put him self in that situation. I have respect for the safety of those on two wheels but I lose all respect for the ones who feel entitled to ride like idiots then flip out when they put them selves in bad situations.

I used to run lights for the house band at a MC/Biker bar in TX, they had 2 rules. No cuts, and no weapons. Wait rule #3, don't fuck with the band. This place was sacred ground where any MC could go to and have a good time. The only time I saw shit go south was a dude we all knew had too much nose candy and started shit. Owner called the cops (yeah, it was understood the law could come in); dude would not leave, and they started scrapping. Dude had an artificial leg and the cops ended up pulling it off and beating him with it just so they could cuff him. One of the funnies things I ever saw being associated with MCs.

Then I have my state flag patch and a Triumph patch. No rockers or anything that remotely looks like MC stuff. I've never had any one from an MC give me trouble over it. I have been invited to an MC clubhouse (not 1% but a good size local MC) but I wasn't able to make it. I made my apologies to the member that invited me. I could never prospect though, I'm older and theres no way I'm putting myself thru some bullshit to patch. I don't like to ride in groups either and I stay away from most of the young sport bike crowd. good video once again. granted its only fair to let both sides have their say for sure when it comes down to things to possibly help bridge the gap of understanding somewhat for those that are truly interested. For me I didn't grow up entirely around the biker scene but was around it enough and taught enough about it by my uncle to not be scared of it like the rest of my family would like to have us younger boys scared of it. show respect until there's a reason not to no matter who a person is. Just like clubs have their reasons for what they do, and most will give and show respect as long as you show them the same respect back.

I agree with what your saying here. It's about respect and acceptance of each others choices. I am a 25 yr motorcycle tech, Japanese bikes. I have met all types and the people you describe as fake bikers really bother me too. If you want to look like a 1% then you should put in the work and be a 1%, but to be fake is just stupid. I worked at a Yamaha dealership for 20 yrs, 3 doors up the road was a Club shop, we became good friends over the years. I always respected their ways and values, they reciprocated the same. Next to that shop was a club for a non 1% group, I showed them the same respect and they did as well. One morning on the way into work, I was riding my sport bike. A couple of members came up on me very fast, just as I was changing lanes, nearly cut them off. I followed them to the club house, got of my bike, took off my lid and apologized to them. Offered anything I could do to make it right. No, you just did, thank you. Later in the day the tech for the 1% shop came down and told me that the boss wanted a word. I went and he commended my honesty and that the other club appreciated it as well. Stand up guy, you did the right thing. That is how respect is earned and given. I hope this helps someone else understand what respect means.

Serious question, I am out riding alone, just a biker. I ride up on 1-2 or more patched riders and i am in that lane at a stop, do i line up with them in formation as i do with most other riders? do i just stay like 2 car lengths back and clearly show that I am not a part of their pack? I can usually read the room, if they stop in the middle of the lane, i stay pretty far back to just give them space and let them ride their ride, if they pull to either side, i usually line up with them in formation.

So if I am riding, and come up on a club formation, should I slowly pass or just stay behind the formation? I would think slowly passing would be the best option as I would not to be mistaken for a member or prospect. The only time this has happened, I came up on a MC and just decided to get off at the next exit and stretch my legs and have a smoke, as I was unsure what the proper protocol would be.

I am a HOG member. We are motorcycle enthusiasts but tend to be between 55 and 80. We focus on motorcycle safety, and we are never looking for trouble. However, we encourage "Ride Warrior" theme patches that are pictures of, say, Bridges, Beaches, Harley Davidson motorcycle dealerships, etc. These patches are then sown onto our vests; however, they look nothing like "Biker MC" patches. In this case, are such patches also what you described as something that pisses off MC members?

Looking at these things through the lens of psychology - aren't most of these things not just signs of poor self-esteem? If you get angry at someone wearing patches that you worked hard for; how does that person diminish the effort you put into getting yours? How does it affect you in any way, shape or form? If you get angry at someone calls you a cosplayer online... how confident in your identity are you really? If you scoff at someone who is perfectly happy doing his thing without being in a club, aren't you just jealous of them for, in a way, being more free than you are?

I also have some on the front of the model of bikes I own. I don’t at all do it to “look like I am in an MC”. I do it because I like it and wanted it for memorial purposes. In a certain city, I was driving back from my brother's wedding. I was in a rented Aveo, tiny car. About 5 sportbike riders started stunting around me with their rides. Everybody's got neon lights shining down, standing on their bikes, doin' wheelies and riding past me, seemed like 160mph. This was also after 2am. I was really nervous and didn't feel safe at ALL. I WAS strapped, but their behavior was extreme, dangerous, and exactly like what you'd see bad guys act like in the movies before they attacked someone. Terrible experience. I have NEVER felt that way around Outlaws. Exactly the opposite. THEY'RE the good guys.

I was once on a divided 4 lane & it started to hail so I blew by my local 1% club because I was running for an over pass to take shelter. Normally I wouldn't have done that, but I had my 10 year old nephew with me so he's priority number one right? Anyway, these cats stop under the same over pass & I tell the kid..... I don't think they'll beat my ass too bad since you're with me. Instead, these cats compliment me on my shitty little metric bobber & praise my nephew for being able to ride the fender for 50 miles! Mc's are WAY cooler than those sport bike dudes doing wheelies down the highway!

Thanks for the video. I consider myself a biker, I'm not in any club. Opinions are different, but I was quite amused by the opinion that anyone who doesn't want to be in a club is a weakling. For me, a weakling is anyone who needs to be a part of something, needs to have other members around, who hides behind other members and is only strong when outnumbered. The strong can do it alone, the weak must join the herd. That's my opinion, I'm not forcing it on anyone, but it amused me. Otherwise, I am from Europe, specifically from the Czech Republic. Here, in my opinion, clubs usually work differently, they are not strict. Just a bunch of friends who like motorcycles. There is no criminal activity associated with it and, in my opinion, they treat non-members decently. But I am not a member of any, I only know what I meet on the road. So it's something quite different. However, a strong individual doesn't need a gang, in any situation, that's my opinion. I wish you a smooth ride and wheels on the ground.
