I have a reason why I prefer 2k17 right now. While 2k18's my player mode is great, the match objectives are the worst part. It has been a solid week of me playing the same match, following each objective only to tell me that I failed one. I've done this in every way possible and unless someone can politely help me get past this ridiculous rule, my point will stand

If you own 2k17, there is no reason whatsoever to upgrade. Wait on 2K19 to see if any real improvement comes. The very slight graphics boost is not worth the cash. If you dont have 2k17, then by all means get the game, but in my opinion, 2K17 is the better game. I regret wasting the money on 2K18.

How about the fact that in 2K18 you have to collect those damn points to unlock wrestlers, moves, events, entrances, venues etc. Biggest letdown ever is wanting to be able to stone cold stunner someone then realizing, "oh, I need to grind forever on the terrible career mode to unlock anything I want." And how about the complete absence of a story mode? 2k17 had you playing through the attitude era as Stone Cold Steve Austin. To me, 2k17 is superior.

The last wrestling game I played was Wresltlemania 2000 on N64 ... character customization and entrance and move selection.... power grab moved assigned to buttons and weak grab moves assigned.... finishers etc. I later played another but the controller play changed and it was off putting ... are there any out there that have the same mechanics?
