I was thrown completely off by the actions of one man, he introduced me to his family; met with my parents (his idea) and told my parents that he wanted me to be his wife; he met with the pastor for marriage counseling (told the pastor he wanted me to be his wife); stated he had purchased the ring but he was waiting on the "Right" time to give it. Insisted that the ring was huge (or had a huge stone); offered to give me a key to his place- etc. I didn't accept the key because I didn't want him to have a key to my place. The breaking point, never set a date but continuously put it off, never saw the ring and said he wasn't ready but couldn't tell me when or what had changed. He was 55 years old and couldn't articulate his wants other than physical. I called it quits 2.5 years too long - time that can never be replaced.

Now I let God guide my mind, heart, and spirit and I have been single for three years. It was the line you said Pastor Blakes, "a man can have sex with you and don't even like you." My ex physically, mentally and spiritually abused me and never apologized for what he did. After the breakup, he would try to find a way to get around it even when it was mentioned, just never taking accountability for what he did. Before meeting him I was content with where I was with God! I was ashamed of the fact I left that place where I felt so confident, loved, seen and adored by the father for less ... I know that you intended this to be about relationships, but it really resonated with me about my last job. They would promise everyone the world when they started, but less than 5% ever got to move forward into new positions. For years I was told “maybe next time, just do this, just do that, wait until after this…” eventually I realized it and left that job after 4 years. We were led to believe that you had to struggle, deal with constant rejection and go through the pits to be in a position to use our strengths. This wasn’t true. My husband called me a sex toy after 5 years of marriage, and I didn’t even have sexual relations with him before getting married. Met him in a church working as a pastor. He is a pastor. These men are something else 🙄 it's better to be alone than to be with the wrong person, but it's easier said than done sometimes. When a woman know her worth and value then it's easy to leave that toxic relationship alone and align your selves with God's purpose.

Ive only watched a few minutes of this videos . Pastor Blakes your completely right. I was involved with a man that i meet at 22 he was a 40 years old when we meet.He left me when i was 39 years old and got married to another lady that he barely knew in Liberia, west Africa. If I wouldnt have found out on Facebook, he would have never told me.I was so stupid, always made me feel less than a human being. Constant list, I dont even believe he liked me at all period.

It’s so sad that this behavior can still be evident in sixty year old men seeking out women their age, their generation, with children , great grands. Grandma/grand dad. Shocking as well, the exact same verbiage.
