TheFourthReaper Actually the Internet is famous for how easy it is to mask ones digital "scent" so to speak. It isn't like radio, or some such because it can not be tracked to any particular source oftentimes. However, I would recommend setting shop in someplace that the government would have difficulty finding you. Say a abandoned city district, one so full of crime that law enforcement doesn't dare show their faces, or perhaps outside he city itself in the hills. However I would have to discourage you from doing things like, for example. Setting up a special resistance facebook page or tweeting about raids in progress. Try to stay away from social media in general.
@charlesdewitt80879 жыл бұрын
***** That must be obscenely impractical, Unless your skyscrapers are in danger of being knocked over by the moon every time it comes past. Then no city could possibly have the population or budget for such a tight defense network. Even if you don't pay the guards (very possible in a dystopian society) The amount of money required to pay for gear, weapons, armor, and food, For such a massive force would bankrupt the city. With economic policies such as these I'm surprised the government hasn't toppled of it's own accord. As for what I am, well. I don't think I'll answer that just yet.

I often troll on people who lives in the U.S.A. by congratulating them on achieving living in an actual futuristic dystopia; however, I stopped because most people from that country have a tendency of not wanting to let you elaborate what you are meaning to say, and of course, it gets tiresome to hear people saying stuff like "you hate us for our freedom"... Which is B.S... Anyway! When I do have a chance to explain what I mean, I get to point out three things that are signs of living in a futuristic dystopia, which are: A)You live under a government which is under the control of massive and evil corporations; B)You live surrounded by amazing technologies, such as robots which could kill you, and/or systems which can be use, and are in fact used, to violate your civil rights, as well as your human rights, on a daily basics; and C)Police forces are ridiculously militarized, which should be the most evident of the three, for anyone with at least basic capabilities to perceive reality. So it's strike one, strike two, strike three for the people of the U.S.A.; at least in my opinion :D
@howardman39265 жыл бұрын
Europe is so much more of a Dystopia. And a "militarized" police force (which we don't really have) isn't necessarily a sign of a dystopia. In fact, most types of dystopias don't involve police or large governments, but anarchy and collapse of moral virtues.

the town of Covenant in Fallout 4. I know its to small to technically be called a dystopia, but it had all the makings of one. including a "secret" base across the lake ware they butcher Innocent travelers. but the biggest hit was the fact that everyone was WAY to happy. if there's one thing that games /movies/books have taught me, it's when EVERYONE is always happy, immediately stop trusting everything.

Timeshift (PS3), honestly I couldn't bring myself to complete it, the layout reminded me of CoD, linear, arcadey, a mix of hardcore difficult mixed with whacky easyness, an lack of any real branching direction taking you out of immersion with gigantic invsible walls, soldiers that you don't care die, even when they're suffering and bleeding out and crying to each other before getting obliterated, "friendly fire", a "timeshift" which is just a max payne bullet time without athletics, not being tolerated, unable to fire on anyone you want as long as a green reticles over them, and INFINITE AMMO CACHES, where you can essentially become a single-player camper as the game turns from serious, to comical Left 4 Dead styled gameplay when you have a rifle that can fire grenades right by an ammo cache. Oh yeah, and the "time travel" of timeshift, was just an excuse for a level select screen. If a game uses time travel as a level select screen, it segments you and derails immersion as you don't feel you're really shifting time, why fallout: new vegas was such a sucess, one of the reasons being is that you felt like time had frozen due to a nuclear summer dotting the globe, signs of politics booms were there, I.E. vualt 11, but it was like time froze and slowly picked up again, you felt like you were stuck in the 50's or even earler, and that is why I adore fallout, it made me feel like I was in a time that wasn't my own, it gave me an open world with a lot of cool shit and told me to start doing cool shit, it didn't put me on a linear path like timeshift did and pit me against "good guys VS. bad guys: always shoot the bad guy", and fallout new vegas even allowed me to handle almost EVERYTHING diplomaticaly. I even had a vocal debate with a freakin' DEATHCLAW due to having the animal friend rank 2 perk.

The name of the city is deliberately left undefined but is definitely somewhere in eastern Europe. The Citadel is most likely one of many such structures, which each probably govern regions of the planet. Considering the Combine's technology, their choice for where to put Brein's headquarters was probably largely random. Additionally, they move citizens around without any real method. Their main goal is probably to avoid letting any group of people spend enough time together to become closely knit and form a resistance. Additionally, much of the architecture in that region is left over from the Soviet era, and so is very utilitarian. At least, compared to western styles. And I don't think most people consider Soviet Russia to be a place of carefree and peaceful living.

#4: Well if you are good at Parkour, then you're pretty much set for the whole free runner thing. Now grab your favorite White T or Black Hoodie and get to running.

What's wrong with camera's outside? The problem is when the camera's are inside our houses and property. You'd wish there were more cameras when a family member gets murdered and they couldn't catch the killer because they didn't get a good shot of him.

SPOILER ALERT: another reason how you would know that the city of Colombia in Bioshock Infinite is that they have protest signs that depict booker dewitt's (you) hand looking like a devil's hand with the same symbol that dewitt has on his hand.

Victorian/Gothic Architecture? Acceptable. Brutalist Architecture? Unacceptable. Clean Architecture? Time for a Revolution. Also, your first sign in Bioshock: Infinite would be the “games” you play before you even make it to the raffle. It actually took me a while to connect the dots on that, tbh.

Arkham City isn't a real city though, it's a former city block that's been walled off and repurposed into a giant prison. On a related note, another possible dystopia check mark: Huge sections of the city being walled off and turned into a giant prison.
