INTP want a deep, detailed knowledge, INTJ want useful knowledge. This is a major difference. The INTP read science articles, because the detailed knowledge. The INTJ read science articles for the deeper understanding, the deeper meening, not for memorize all small detail. The INTJ want understand things for use, predict and create things. This is the main motivation.

Correct. I only read what I want to know because I think it's important to me. For example I studied on how to operate microsoft excel formulas in 2 weeks because I needed the knowledge for my job. But when it comes to geography, I find it useless because I don't think I will be using the knowledge. At least not for now.

Now I am confused if I am an INTJ or INTP... . Cause you just described my friend who just reads for details, and I read for understanding.
@meechipeachi Жыл бұрын
Yes, I have had many INTP friends. Our conversations are excellent for mental agility. But when it comes time to creating an action plan and fulfilling it, as long as I do 80% of the work, they might come up with the other 20. And it is also this trait that has kept me from being able to be long-term romantic partners with them. These lack of practical application of knowledge drives me up a wall!
@JenHope11810 ай бұрын
Fully focused in pursuing their goals. Short and Long term planners. Not boastful. Needs quality over quantity. Not afraid of challenges. Curiosity makes them change jobs( how is the weather over the other side). Not into loud partying . Trying hard not to show your boredom. How to outwit the IRS. Sarcasm when hurt. Before a holiday, find out about the destination, the dangers , the food, the hotel facilities, what to bring, what currency , credit card acceptance , laws, etc etc. Life is intense for these people.

I agree with point 3. Even I, the mighty INTJ, have moments of doubt and sometimes I think it's impossible but I always come back. Stronger and more powerful than before. I will probably die rather than give up on my goals, even if they are unlikely to be accomplished.

At 5:13 the video says, "Most INTJs are confident, but in an arrogant and showy way. They are confident in who they are and do not feel compelled to flaunt it in front of others." These two sentences seem to contradict each other. Was this meant to say, "Most INTJS are confident, but _not_ in an arrogant and showy way"?

@Cocoluv5609 ай бұрын
Me too bro. At 1st I got intp, then I did it for 4 times, I got intj for 4 times. One week before, I was so tired and answered the questions not in a straight way, I got istj. My enneagram is 5. Intjs belong to enneagram one or five. It's okay you feel that way. I too feel that. I think this intuitive side of ours is responsible for our confusion. But I'm sure that I'm an intj.

Just one addition to the "creative" part: it is a different creativity than these of NP (Extroverted Intuition) types. If you want a really, revolutionary new idea, you should go to an NP type. The creativity of an INTJ is more like combining existing ideas to something new. To compare it with music: an INTJ will not create a new style. But put a lot of existing stuff in a blender and pull something different out of it.

Really?… 🙄 What is this crap with so many references to AI- Artificial Idiocy? No. Be careful not to turn all that focus, determination, and inner drive they have, against you by trying to manipulate them. INTJ or not, coming from me, a No is a No- which part of ‘No’ is hard to comprehend? No amount of schmoozing or trying to make me feel bad will be effective, on the contrary.
