Sales make sense to me when I am buying essential items (soap, toothpaste, etc). I absolutely refuse to purchase those items at full price. I put a little money in an envelope every payday to pay for those items when they go on sale. Example: I only buy steaks when they are on sale. We just won’t eat steak until it goes on sale

Children’s expenses are expensive. Taxes this year for school is $1700+ in our area. We didn’t know about the homestead exemption and what that meant. Speaking with a neighbor, he also thought this was just for people who farm on their land. Tax office informed us there aren’t many people who know about it or not everyone applies for it. We have family members who knew about it but never told us stating they assumed we knew. In any case, thanks to your show I’ve been researching everything. We look forward to more savings and saving. Then all the field trips, etc through the year. The dates they are out of school for fall break, winter break etc daycare prices are outrageous. This video was helpful because there’s pressure for teacher gifts, kids friends birthday parties throughout the year, family needing financial help etc. Thanks for pouring into us.

I purchased a really nice well kept car from a reputable dealership last month 60k miles ( not a lot for this brand) for 20k dollars. The sticker still in the glove box was 56 thousand dollars. I ALWAYS want to put more money in things that go up in value ( land, realestate, mutual funds...). I purchased 1 new car years ago....never again!! Also was able to buy it cash. Thanks for your lessons on money and life....great job!!

I got the iPhone 11 when it came out because it was the first one that didn’t have a button under the screen. All of the iPhones since then have had a similar design. Apple announced the 11 will stop getting updates in 2026 and that is probably when they will release an iPhone that has a design significantly different than the current versions. Car companies also rarely make large changes in car designs from year to year. For I wait until the new models design comes out plus one year to avoid the inevitable recalls.

I think it’s a little misleading when you state that there will be a 10% return when the market hardly ever produces that. On average the market produces an 8% return sometimes more and sometimes less. But to put the market return at 10% for an average return is pure optimism
@trfrierson10 ай бұрын
I promise it does. In 4 years my 401k has yielded 25% in earnings. You have to look at the 10 year track record. I look for Funds that yield from 8 to 12 % average earnings.
