I'm pretty sure that if you have lower than a sertain amount of ram you can't turn of the Vram on those devices like lower specs phones.

Great video! I wanted to share one experience from one of the changes your recommended. Turning off RAM Plus did make my device faster in some aspects. But it made my animations choppy and slowed the opening and closing of core Google apps. My Galaxy Fold 4 had it on at 8GB of additional memory + 12GB. I turned it on and off several times to see if it was me. Definitely doesn't work well without it. The weird thing about it is that I don't run an extremely resource intensive apps. I only multitask 2-3 apps once or twice a day. I have a theory. The A.I. optimizing the performance of the device. RAM Plus memory is being used Samsung apps integrated into One UI and for One UI OS. The 12GB of RAM is managing Android OS, core apps and device essentials. My device has been optimizing since October with 8GB RAM Plus on. Google's performance and power management algorithm looks are all this stuff to get the most out of the device. Maybe turning it off now screws up what the A.I. is doing.

Important note for the "turn wifi on/off automatically" feature: your location must be turned on. I keep my location off until needed, so this feature is greyed out for me.

i wonder which one is the bigger battery hog. I used to only run mobile data and keep BT/WIFI/GPS all turned off. Now i guess with the whole Samsung ecosystem and find my phone etc, it's smarter to leave GPS on?

I didn't know Ram plus slowed the phone down and you're right, I've 12 gb don't need more so I'll turn that off. And Single take...that's new for me.....smartunlock...that works with my the watch and the buds too...I use that. Thanks for reminding us.

the ram plus is also turn on and 8gb by default for mine and i am outside of US so i guess it is set so for all s23 series so far true caller is way much better than the built-in spam call blocker as it has much more complete database

It's a pretty phone, but it does have issues. And I came across one. The spen causes the phone to freeze when there are too many things going on with the pen.

Ram plus has low priority over actual ram . It only uses ram plus if only your actual ram cant handle it . Samsung is not stupid to give you that feature after all the testing. I believe you should keep it.

I personally don't see any difference in performance with RAM Plus on or off. I have it on all my devices, including my Galaxy Tab S7 with 128gbs of storage, and it performs just fine. Even more apps than if it were off.

I've played with VRAM for a computer I had since RAM got expensive a couple years ago and noticed it drastically there. I do notice it here as well and made a couple things worse with it on. Physical is always better than virtual in most all aspects of life. Haha

Mine came with the RAM+ turned ON out of the box and using 8GBs. (I'm in the UK) I turned this feature off. There's really no need for this feature.

I think the intelligent WIFI is an awesome one. It also means i'm WAY overpaying on my contract with unlimited data. Used to not run wifi on my S10+ but it seems like it's not so much of a battery hog these days? Crap shi.. Crop shot is also a real nice one! 😆

@Jimmy is Promo that's always true, dedicated RAM will always beat virtual RAM. On the s23ultra the UFS4.0 is making the difference less noticeable in VRAM performance compared to the actual RAM, the read-write speeds are extraordinary and RAM Plus also may save battery cause the RAM is heating faster than the storage
