love tha u call this the "winter" tips. because, we have -15 degrees and about a meter ofr snow outside, finding that "dry spot" isn't gonna happen. although i do agree on all of this. i ride my DH to work, its so hard, but fun to drop those stairsets. also riding the smaller DJ at the indoor bike park helps not only technique, but also mental and physical health druring the long winter....

Good tips cardy, especially embracing the conditions. Its hard to get the motivation when its cold and wet, but you never regret it!

Studded Mtb tires keep me on the trails all winter long here in the frozen wastes of Michigan - the grip is surprising

I do sessions at Adrenaline Alley on a Thursday when i get the day off work, it helps me learn loads more while having a blast on my jump bike with it not being too busy, also forgot to mention that BMX race tracks are also very good for shredding when the weather is alright

Only advice I can give is buy a mudguard front and rear, it'll keep your clothes clean and dry.
