When i feel sad about people hating/making fun of lcw, i always come to watch his video to remind me why he is my ultimate bias. I believe every athlete has their own story and struggle but what makes lcw special is his determination and dedication. Throughout his journey as professional players, he never won any gold at olympic and wc. The whole world is watching, all Malaysians put the trust and hope on him to get the first ever olympic gold. 3 final at olympic but he never won. He never give up. People keep on pressuring him, tease him, making jokes about him always falling behind lin dan and chen long. People in his own country keep blaming him for not mentally strong enough when all the blame should be on the federation. He was alone most of the time, tournament after tournament with injury. Hearrived at olympic london with injured body. He said he cant run full court but he managed to go to final only to be defeated again. Instead of blaming it on others, he never stop running and get better only to be banned for 8 freaking months. But it didnt stop him, he started from scratch, to climb up the ranking from 180+ to world number one again in 6 months. After defeating ld at semi final, we thought he would won the gold in 2016 but was denied by chen long. And in 2018,he successfully won his 12th msian open but weeks after got diagnosed with cancer. He didnt want to stop but due to his health problems, he had to retire.just writing this makes me teary.. How could someone hate him after what he had gone thru. How could someone said bad things about him when some of your fav had it easier than him. 😭
