I’d like you to check out this Bordeaux, 2018 Château La Rose Perrier. Best $25 Bordeaux I’ve ever experienced. 30 Mins in the decanter and it’s GTG. I’m sure your viewers are looking for affordability. Cheers!

@@rjo8500 Thanks! I’ll keep an eye out. For sure. Just did a $25 wine video a month or two ago that was well received.

What are some good cabernet sauvignon unoaked?
@AttorneySomm11 ай бұрын
Neutral oak doesn’t impart oaky descriptors. Mayacamas is 100% neutral oak. That’s a good one.

I concur about the Château Pavie Macquin 2020. And opulent vivid wine. Wonderful balance in tannins and acidity so it’s drinking beautifully now but I just think of it in years to come! John, you had 1973 La Rioja Alta GR 904?! WoW! You are very right about buying 2015 now just as you suggest from Bodegas Muga, it’s great Prado Enea. Elegance in those Italian wines at the perfect word and I appreciate the wonderful vintage suggested. Thank you very much again, for sharing great valuable knowledge. I couldn’t agree more about that Argentinian gem. Santé

Santé Gabriela! Thanks very much for the positive feedback! Very glad that you enjoyed the recommendations! Yes, the 73 904 was stunning! Had it in LA. Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Nice list. I do think that Drouhin is fantastic at the price point… I can tell you like La Rioja Alta huh??? 😅
@AttorneySomm Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Drouhin does a terrific job in Oregon. Ha! Still fired up from the 1973 904 from Thursday night. 😁

John , I was surprised by the wine suggestion from k vintners! I was a big fan, but in the last few years I've had a hard time finding wines from them with more acidity! Have you tried it recently and do you think they are taking it easy and trying to produce less bold bigger than life wines - which are great - but not my taste anymore ?
@AttorneySomm Жыл бұрын
Thanks for weighing in! It is definitely a robust style, but the wines I had most recently were still balanced. Perhaps the low acid bottle(s) were from a warmer vintage or Grenache dominant? Grenache has lower acid. In any event, I’ll try to get to the bottom of it next week when I’m in Washington. Hope the other recommendations were useful. Cheers!

@@AttorneySomm 13 to 15 were warm vintages. 18 too. But what I notice was that they were a little bit less fresh. I will try again ! thanks!

I was a big fan of THE creator , the CS by Smith . I had all vintages since 13 . And I notice that the last to releases were not the same …

The US pricing for the Grattamacco is a huge premium to the GBP price I paid for the 2019 - GBP 318 for 6, about USD 65 per bottle. You can get it on the secondary market for about GBP 340, about USD 70 per bottle.

Yes, our 3-tier system raises prices substantially. That is an excellent wine! Glad you can get it for less.

No South African wines. 😔
@AttorneySomm Жыл бұрын
Sorry. Those are extremely difficult to find in many places in the world. I can hardly find any good ones in Texas. I try to pick wines that are easy to locate worldwide.
