Someone broke into our house a couple years ago. My daughter and my cattle dog were the only ones home. By the time the cops got there my dog had ripped off three of his fingers and tore both his Achilles tendons. A couple weeks later I asked her if she tried calling the dog off. She looked at me laughing and said f**k no I would have let her kill him if the cops hadn’t shown up.

At 61 years of age, I remember my days of youth, when If you were to lock your door, neighbors would likely perceive you as the neighborhood loon - afraid of the boogie man.
