Dubbing by Sharad Kelkar played a massive role in portraying the role of Bahubali in Hindi language! The baritone of Kelkar resonated with the masses and made both the Bahubalis larger than life characters. Same can be said for Shreyas Talpade for Pushpa. And the brings a slight worry for KGF2 as in the trailer both the dialogues and Yash's Hindi dubbed voice sounds cringy.

Where Agneepath succeeded was that Hrithik avoided any imitation of the histrionical nature of AB's characterization (which was iconic no doubt for its time). Also, all the films back in the Malayalam industry are subjected to huge criticism based on their quality, Kerala has a notorious culture of Satires, trolling across political and cinema events. I mean come on... and the other point about Jalsa was also very well made.. I saw your recommendation about Cobalt Blue on IG and saw it on Netflix. I just loved the movie. Kudos to the creator for representing LGBTQ relationships in such a beautiful way. The movie gave me Call Me By your Name vibes, replacing the warm golden hues with cobalt blue shade against the picturesque Kerala backdrop. *SPOILER ALERT* The metaphor of a tortoise( an animal that hides in its shell) named Pablo Neruda trapped in a shallow pond for a gay man who writes poem is just phenomenal. Also loved the fact that they use background poetry in a lot of places. Can't fathom why Netflix didn't bother to recommend it to me.

Actually i wasn't able to get the metaphor of Pablo Neruda. How does it connect with the lead?
@subhajitdeysarkar97242 жыл бұрын
@@umamaheswariselvakumar141 it is hard to say for sure. My take is that a tortoise that hides itself in it's shell is the metaphor for the Tanay being closeted. The tortoise being stuck in the pond is him being trapped in a situation where he couldn't express himself truly. That's just my thought. Would love to hear a detailed discussion on the metaphors in the movie.

It is true tweaking the modern love story in Love Aaj Kal definitely would have made a more compelling film also Sara doest work for the film but I remember this film for it's good parts😌❤️❤️ And seriously whenever a Bollywood movie fails, there's such an outrage as if the creators have personally attacked the audience 🙄🙄 it is curious how people tend to ignore failed projects in other languages but love to hate on film excessively just because it is a Bollywood film😑😑

I have a slightly different take on why South movie failures are pushed under the rug. It has nothing to do with the actors, and everything to do with politics. You see, mainstream Bollywood movies have been most accommodating to the Hollywood-style "progressive" agenda. Be it movies on identity politics or gay rights. Most people who have a visceral hatred for Bollywood movies are the ones who see the industry executing an anti-Hindu agenda. Deepika was quite popular among many till movies like Padmavaat came out, but after her appearance in CAA protests, a large section of right-wing Hindus have dumped her. I am not saying what she did was right or wrong, I'm just stating what I feel. As for South industry, this new found love for Tamil or Telegu films in Hindi heartland is because they feel these movies show and respect Hindu culture. They think, at least mainstream, South movies are not woke like Hindi films. That's why a lot of people hated Badhai Do but loved Valimai. When South movies become a symbol of "real India" and Bollywood becomes a place for "anti-India", you can see why Alia Bhatt was questioned for her role in Gangubai. The thing about South movies is that they lionise their heroes to an unreal degree. I mean look at the KGF 2 trailer where Yash is introduced as Rocking Star Yash. Or when Rajnikant is introduced in a movie trailer as Superstar Rajnikant. You won't see this in Bollywood. No movie in Bollywood movie trailer starts with Superstar Shah Shah Rukh Khan, it's " Starring Shah Rukh Khan or Hrithik Roshan". I'm pretty sure that these north Indian people who are making out as if Prabhas is a bigger star than Shah Rukh Khan or Ranveer Singh, will not marry off their daughters to people who look like Prabhas when they have someone like Hrithik as an option. Most of India is very much in love with fair skin, so the love for South actors you see is fuelled by a shared sense of Hindu identity and not true fandom.

@@ramasuryamjalamanchili9156 You misunderstood bro I am not saying that south people are hating bollywood The behaviour I described above is done by people of Hindi belt only. You are unaware about the organised (somewhat) social media campaign of right wing(by that I mean BJP and sangh ecosystem). After Deepika went to JNU,her movie chhapak became a prime time debate on news channel accusing her film of false claims such as changing religion of the criminal (even though it was not the case) - Direct BJP minsters(babul supriyo) were involved in this. At the time of Raees,whatsApp messages were floating about fake news of SRK in appeal to Boycott Raees,I recieved one myself. A film like maanandu if had been a bollywood film released at this present time - it would have become a debate of tv channels and I highly doubt it would have become a succes here. Most of the right wingers have something or the other against bollywood and it has increased exponentially after SSR(who himself for his film kedarnath and support of padmavat felt the burnt of ban for his film kedarnath) and bjp supports it as some leaders are part of the same ecosystem. The boycott, negativity for SRK next venture Pathan has already started even though only announcement had been done. How much these things affect box office revenue - I don't know but there is definitely a hate,anti-bollywood campaign here up north among the hindi belt(headed by sangh ecosystem).

3 Unpopular opinions on TRP that TRP fans might hate me for: Although this has remained a consistently growing channel and rightfully so, with Jammy's meticulous analyses and unprejudiced opinions, the channel has room to improve in certain 'underwhelming' aspects. 1. Pronunciations: Jammy has really pulled up his socks to learn to pronounce Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu names / titles but many of the names and titles in general are regularly mispronounced. E.g. Bahubali, Adi purush and Kathiawadi just to name a few. Even some names of actors and directors. 2. Voice: Even though Jammy remains the soul of this channel, we wouldn't mind having some diversity of voice-over narrating the scripts. 3. Long sentences: Jammy is one of my favourite movie nerds, with a sea of knowledge that is complimented by the individual's flair for articulation. However, the content he writes, when read out, often sounds riddled with really long drawn sentences. It tests the listener's ability to stay engaged throughout without being fatigued. (Honest feedback. Not trolling. Don't come at me, boos! 😋)

I saw Radhe Shyam in the theater when it first came out. I thought the visual opulence of the movie took away from the story and was a little disappointed. Then it arrived on AmazonPrime and I watch it again. There was something about watching it on a smaller screen that made the movie more enjoyable for me. I found the first half to be totally engaging. Prabhas' sweet and goofy personality came out in the practicing death scene, the scenes with kids, and the swirling curtain scene. Pooja was a good match for him and had her own story which was equal to his. The second half was more dramatic and a few of the scenes seemed incomplete, supporting actors were mostly unnecessary, except for Bhagyashree and Kunal Roy Kapur whom I enjoyed. Loved the songs. Best scene was of them hanging out of the train. I will watch it again and again.
