You can't ignore the extra difficulty of skating a board that is more than half of your own size.

Signs are 🔥 I would layer the letters a couple times to make them darker a bit, internal "walls" separating the letters and brighter lights to make them pop individually, when it turns on.

Loop them with a couple of rows of RGB leds, frosted plexi build a few more and hang them on the wall. Lead off picks their color and so on.
