I act ually do audio writing (sort of) whenever I drive to work and back home because I always got so frustrated at how u came up with the greatest dialogue but always forgot about it once I was ghere to write it down. So at one point, I just kept my recorder running the whole drive! ✨

before watching this, i've been walking around the house randomly for ideas or to build up on ideas that i want to implement in my writing despite not talking out loud, it still helps so much and idk why

I actually do some of these. I'm always walking around the house, talking about my characters, and sometimes I imagine I'm talking to the characters. It helps me right the scenes. Nice tips :)

3:30 is such a good one!! I don’t usually like walking around or leaving my desk mid writing for fear of leaving the zone, but especially as a pantser who tends to make my plot very vague and simple to get it out of the way, when I encounter plot problems I whip out my notebook and just start explaining and sort of ranting about the plot. Then I go back with a highlighter and pick out the details that I need in the moment or are important to the story. It doesn’t even feel like work either cause I am only trying to make sense to myself lol. You make a good point about the separation that walking gives, so I’ll have to try it! I do think that using a notebook versus using my computer creates a bit of separation there too since my notebook is designated for stupid brainstorming and I haven’t created any pressure that it needs to be good for myself in the same way that talking to yourself isn’t something that really needs to be super perfect or make a bunch of sense or be really complicated, cause it’s just for you :)

When I write, I listen to background music that gives off the same vibes as the scene I'm working on in that moment. If it's a chill scene where nothing is happening I'll play calm or fun music depending on the emotions of the characters, if it's a sad and very emotional scene I put on sad music, if it's a battle scene then I put on intense music, etc. I've also tried the tip where you write when you're tired and it works so much, as well as the tip where you talk to yourself about your book and that has given me a lot of inspiration and has actually surfaced new ideas to add to the story.

Oh, my gods! the freckles and messy hair go so well with the sleeveless top. Amazing fashion sense GURL! ✨ yeah, most of the "weird" tips you gave are done by me---the weirdest girl alive. I usually write early in the morning cause my brain refuses to work any other time of the day. walking around the house and talking to myself is something that I do every single day and there are many times when my parents were like, "You okay?" I usually make myself a cup of coffee and play my playlist when I'm getting into writing. the tips are really great. and also, love your neckless queen. I hv the same thing ;] 💖

So basically hi my name is Alex. My book is mainly abt a couple serial killer getting loose around the city and killing mostly everyone 😅 They had a daughter in which they left her in an orphanage when she was very young. When her parents found out she had escaped that orphanage at 17, they tried to find her and successfully did but fail since she is saved by the other protagonist, Jackson! They encounter her mother again disguised as a famous fashion model and enter her suite. They find a room, pitch black and when they opened the light a ginormous door appeared before them but something weird happened. The daughter of the serial killers, Juniper, floated and her eyes went white. She was in another world with fauna and flora from different planets. A light followed her which guided her to a pod-like chamber where she woke up in the real life. Turns out the guiding light was named Isis. She could form into anything, mostly cats. Then they escaped the disaster of the lady’s suite, her real name is Adelie. As they went out, Juniper saw her mother and screamed at her because she made an injury to Isis. As she approached her mother she got closer and then her mother stabbed her in the abdomen but she didn’t die yet. They took her to a hospital but it caught on fire and then.. Chapter 2! To be Continued Title: Scarlet Mask (You’ll see why its called that in chapter 2 😊😊)

The timing on when you write is actually very important. For me, I like to write when it’s a little bit cooler out and the sun is mostly low in the sky heading towards night. And like you said, before bed. I don’t know why i feel more creative and “in the zone” to write around that time but it does work lol. There were some videos I saw where people were trying someone’s else’s method of writing at like 4-ish in the morning, but I have weird work hours so I haven’t tried it but that would also be a good time to work. Sun isn’t up yet and it’s cool out. 😅

Walking around the house and talking to myself is the only way I generate book ideas at all XD I didn‘t know this was some hack because I have been doing that as a coping mechanism since childhood and it sticks like an addiction. It is so much to the point that I cannot write a book if it does not go through a weeks‘ long stage of me walking through my room, imagining and talking to myself in the story setting XD it does bring me the best ideas though, so not complaining at all haha

I started writing a book back in March and I still fill like I've gotten nowhere and yesterday my dad asked about how it was going. I couldn't bring myself to tell him the truth that I've barely got one page because of the million rewrites. And it's not like I haven't been working on it. I'm trying my best but now I feel like I have to write the book because I don't wanna say "It's too hard I quit " For once I just want to be good at something and be confident in my work and have my parents proud of me

Here are two of my own; 1. Act out your scenes I recommend doing this alone if possible. Acting out your scenes and switching the character your acting as when they speak can help you hone in the emotions of your character. I recommend especially doing this before writing on the scene you are on or about to write. 2. Take a break from your story and write a short story or do a writing prompt with different characters. Spending too much time on one book with the same plot and characters may become frustrating or boring depending on how long, cause you are doing the same scenes repeatedly. So, take a break and focus on writing something else, especially if you have writers block. It can help get those creative juices glowing and may even give you some new ideas for the book. These are probably obvious and not weird but I felt I needed to say it anyway.
