Growing up in Jamaica, that’s how we all learnt to do our part in family chores. These are valuable life lessons for children. Only in North American cities kids grow up on the couch with hand-held games and even when they get married they hardly know how to make their own beds.

Many families in USA live out in the rural areas and develop homesteads, where they grow gardens and raise animals for their food. Children in these families learn at a young age that all family members must participate and do many chores around the homestead to benefit the entire family. It is hard but rewarding work and the children learn so many life skills that children growing up in the conveniences of a city don't. This young girl in your video is such a hard worker and no doubt so valuable to her family!
@krustykatt24132 жыл бұрын
HOW THE FCK, you going to relate this to some US family, you should be utterly ashamed! There are ZERO US families, anywhere near this, do not listen to this idiot, she is trying to take away the value of this video...smh! This is Shelley Lee's About Me Profile: "Hi and welcome to my channel! If you are interested in any of the following, this is what you will find on my channel: -Retirement living on a budget -Mobile home renovations -Raising a small batch of chickens -Small scale gardening -Cats, cats, and more cats -Grateful, frugal living -Easy budget-friendly recipes and cooking for two -Home beautification and organization -Enjoying the great outdoors in your own back yard My husband and I live in south Mississippi on around 4 acres of land. We love a simple, debt-free, home-based life, enjoying the outdoors and making our place a little slice of paradise. - CONTENT COMING SOON (total Newby here)!" Yeah the same Mississippi that is last in the US in everything, while she sits on a plush 4 acres and sips tea, her own neighbors have no drinking water. The Gov, she voted in, is entirely racist. And people like her live entirely off GOVERNMent money intended for the 80% of black folks that "dont qualify"...you are a peice of work lady. She says her home is a PARADISE! Does anyone know of any paradise in Mississippi? Only the privaledged would have a paradise in Mississippi, while others have no drinking water.

You guys in the developed countries have the help of the IMF and the World bank for fertilizer, equipment and seeds. The banks here in S Africa does not help the disadvantage, only those with money. Think about it if you can.
@shelleylee87742 жыл бұрын
@@josefbushby7771 Hmmm... I don't understand your comment. Individuals in the USA who grow their own gardens to feed their families don't get subsidies. They spend their own money to buy what's necessary, and some sell their excess at markets to help supplement their costs.

It doesn't hurt you, I still had time to play and get a good education. I feel sorry for many children who grow up without basic skills they need in life. This little girl is a hard worker who will never lack in her life because she knows how to work and how to take care of herself. I cooked my first full meal for my family at the age of nine. I felt so proud of myself because I was helping my family and doing my part to help run a more efficient household. Plus I was helping my parents with some of the work. One thing I must say is safety was thought in my home a lot about how to use utensils for cooking, digging, and cutting wood. Our uncle would give us good instructions and our grandmother will chastise us if we put ourselves in danger while doing chores. work is profitable and benefits the individual in the long run. But there needs to be a balance. A time to work and a time to play.

Children who grow up this way don't need drugs or alcohol to feel happy or make it through the day, unless an outsider goes and introduces it to them. Also, they grow up strong and confident in their own way, they work without getting tired. They don't mourn or miss what they don't have, and they don't suffer from depression. Little presents are a great delight to them. A natural simple life. All humans lived like this once upon a time. My great gran told me about the hunger in Europe that drove Europeans to other people's continents and countries. At least, they have all the vegetables they need in their backyard, organic, unprocessed, and fresh. No cancer causing additives or preservatives. God Bless you and your family Girl!!!!

Its so sad that here in America the children here are so lazy and not taught to work let alone to work as hard and through as this young girl. They do not want to take out the trash to the outside yet alone clean their room or even clean the whole house and do other household chores or cook. She gets 5 stars for excellent work. God bless this family! P.S. It shows the mother has taken out time to teach this child how to handle a whole work load even how to cook this is an outstanding video.

It is a serious good home training which will help her in the future, even though she might be seeing it as stressful. I did all that during my own time, even much more as a boy child. However, her own is a bit easier. During my own time, I used metal buckets to fetch water from the stream. And if you have ever tried to fetch water with metal bucket and carrying it on your head to walk back home, only then would you understand exactly how I meant. If you haven’t tried it, give it a trial or ask those who have tried it to share their experiences. But with well-corked plastic jerrycans on your head, you can always enjoy walking from stream back to house unscathed. Let me stop so far.
