i had the fortune of meeting ivan once. This was 2012 right before i left home for the military in nashville. I had just watched them play live several hours before....from what i could gather, he had just been walking around down broadway. the dudes i was with and myself ran into him where this lady was selling flowers, and she asked us if we wanted any and ivan walked up in the middle of this and just struck up a conversation. The dudes i was with were all ex military dudes...i myself going in so i just sat in the background and listened...ivan was possibly the most humble dude ive ever met. And i say this as a dude whos now over a decade in the military (who this band has supported for a long time)...it stuck with me. Just came up as a normal dude and shot the shit with us for a little while. Over a decade later, im a fighter pilot, and i still listen to these guys. I think they are some of the best dudes on the planet. Salt of the earth dudes writing songs that resonate with people like me. Im glad 5fdp is still kicking ass out there...i hope i get to see you guys again one day

I remember, i think it was 05 or 06 when 5DDP was touring for their debut album, they came to my hometown of Farmington ,NM and played at a club called "big city nightclub" that no longer exist. the stage was so small, and only like a foot high, and the crowd interaction, with a very almost non-existent barrier was a show ill never forget an followingvthis band them that point in their career to now has been fuckin awesome! I became a fan then, and im still one now, and ill forever be a fan.
