I have had owned our i3 for over 3 years and we drive it 70 miles (113 kms) daily and it has been a FANTASTIC car. We loved it so much we bought a second one. So much fun to drive and it's cost to drive is pennies on the dollar (.04 cents roughly) per mile. Hands down one of the best cars we have ever had, and we had many many cars over the years. Thanks for sharing 😃✌

We have ‘21 i3, now 29,000 miles and we love it to bits. Fun, fab, fast! Flawless motoring for most journeys. Reassuring to see folks with reliably high mileages.

Greatings from a fellow i3 owner from Sweden 🇸🇪. Such a fantastic fun car. We ❤ BMW i3!

This has been largely my experience. We drive it between 50-100 miles a day and around 25k miles a year (40,000ish kilometers). We've barely ever used public charging and it was only required about two times. You can put a ton of miles on with just a level 2 charger.

Exactly! In addition to what I’ve said: you commute/needs do need to support that because if you have to do a lot of DC charging it isn’t ideal.

We recently sold our first i3 at about 70,000 miles, the only thing that failed were the rubber gators on the suspension - other than that amazing and flawless. I also sold my Tesla M3 Performance recently and replaced it with another i3, this time an S. I did this because it’s small, agile, easier to drive and park and all I need, and like the first one I LOVE IT!

Had my 2017 i3 5 years now and done 110k miles. It’s still drives like new, the interior is still like new, the car is the best I have ever owned and I’ve owned a huge amount of cars of all types. I will change it next year for a lower mileage i3 as for me I have yet to find anything that’s as good.

Great to see that you are happy with the i3s. I have mine since 5 years and drove 142000km. Mainly charge AC (every day to 100%, drive 150km per day, almost only German Autobahn ☺️) I never got a heating problem (like you described) while driving 160 the whole time (20“ tires), but a power limit because of heat I think. So not possible to drive faster than 120-130 after 15Min hammering. On the other side, I have not mentioned coldgating. 29.12.23: After 2 days without driving (Akku Temp 10 Grad) I drove 8km to the DC Charger and ramped up quickly from 24kW to 49kW. ACC and sun ☀️ is bad. Drive many days against ☀️ Sometimes I turn off ACC and use only normal speed control without checking distance to the next car. All camera ACC systems I drove are not really robust. My E64 use a radar system, works much better. Have fun with the i3s 👍

This comment confuses me. You said you never had overheating but then said you can't drive150 for more than 15 minutes or it will overheat and limit you?
@laserandy0075 ай бұрын
@@unL33T have you seen the video and what he described?
@unL33T5 ай бұрын
@@laserandy007 Yes. Ok so yours has never overheated to the point it shut down but it has overheated to the point of limiting you? This concerns me as I am about to buy one, drive at about 140 pretty much all the time, and our summer temps can be around 38C. This is the first time I've heard of this issue.
@laserandy0075 ай бұрын
@@unL33Tthe last 4 month I am driving 140 the whole time. Even with 33 Grad it is no problem. I wouldn’t worry. Hammering with 160 is different need a lot more power (just how it feels) and the power reduction is to prevent overheating. Even with 158000km I would buy my own i3s again 👍

Those are my exact words. I could make a video like that and I wouldn't say anything else. As I drive a Skoda Enyaq as a company car and my two grown-up children still go on holiday with us, I haven't done any major tours with my i3s yet. But I'm already looking forward to retirement when my wife and I drive it through Europe and go on holiday so that the journey is the destinatiin 😍

Why on earth did they not use radar based adaptive cruise on the i3? Same year F30 had it and it works pretty flawlessly. I'm considering adding ACC to my 2018 i3 but it requires replacement windscreen. Undecided if it's worth it or not. If it was radar based then I'd have already done it!

OOh the blue looks great in the light of the opening shots.. Shame it can be confused for black a lot of the time as it's so dark. I really wanted to get a 50kWh i3S as that would have been perfect for me too but then I heard they were ending production I went for my currenty unique forever 42.2kWh.. it's been fine 2.5 years later.. I still LOVE this car. They are just amazing.

Hello, any chance you could link the phone holder you are using there for your "one android" and what way is it mounted ? My magnetic one for the vents tends to fall off after a few harder accelerations :D

It's a Brodit Proclip with a Brodit phone mount.

When drivning Long trips in cold weather dont you precondition the car and battery?
@super69ev9 ай бұрын
Yes I do. But the battery isn’t hot enough to charge at full speed when it’s freezing.
