I am a male baby boomer. My mother would tell me many things growing up to educate me on life. One was “if you find a girl who is hyper-focused on ‘her’ wedding ceremony don’t ever ask her to marry you.” I followed my mom’s advice and found a girl who really didn’t care about the wedding. Rather, she cared about the MARRIAGE. 35-years later, we are still married. Mom, even though you’ve been dead a decade: “Thanks”, you helped me find the right girl.

They make it too hard for the men to see their own children and then when they get new husband/boyfriend and the kids are asking or telling you they want to go home before you can get them to your cheap rental you can barely afford on your one weekend a month you start thinking that if they would rather be home with their mom and her new boyfriend and are happier there then you should just step aside so your kids can have a stable home and be happy since they don’t want to see you. This is because the ex wife constantly bashes you around the kids complaining about how bad you were. While you yourself try to be nice about the whole thing and your ex while you are around your children whether it’s private or public. So if all they ever hear is bad things about you and good things about her then naturally they don’t want to spend any time with you on your one weekend a month. If they are happier with you not around then what else are you supposed to do. Then you find out your ex is getting remarried so you move out of the way so your kids have a better chance at having a family and naturally your the despicable father for not ever wanting and abandoning your kids when all you were doing was trying to make everyone else happy as usual. My first marriage lasted almost seven years to the day. I lost a decent paying job as the owners got in trouble with the IRS and lost their business. I ended up having to take another job at half the pay I had been earning. Soon we were filing bankruptcy and a month later she filed divorce as she told me she could never decide if she married me for love or to get out of the house. After that I told God that I wanted a woman who wanted me for me and no other reason than that. That if I could not have that then I didn’t want to marry ever again. We are only a few months away from our thirty-first year. This is my second marriage.

In my experience, I'm twice divorced, women start planning out their life as young girls. They dream of what their house will look like, the wedding dress, the cake, the guy, how their life will go. The only thing missing is the guy and when they find a guy, they fill the blank space in their plan with his name never giving any thought to the fact that the guy is an independent person with his own thoughts, dreams and desires. The conflict starts when you deviate from her plan.

That is not an aberration it is very common. The biggest culprits of all are the churches they have completely dropped the ball on maintaining the Chasity of women. As men we are still expected by the church to marry the women that we live with regardless of the risks to our health and mental well being. The damage is done to our culture unless something happens that removes technology to make life hard again for people society will just get worse and worse. The key to any healthy vibrant society is the Chasity and virtue of the young women of which there are so few today. This has and will continue to contribute to the decline in men of quality in society as well as they will see little reason to achieve in a culture that does not value them but see us as walking ATMS primarily

I'm happily married and have been for 34 years but I tell my wife and others that men don't need women, women NEED men. Just look around, men literally do EVERYTHING. We design, build, and maintain the world's infrastructure. We run corporations. We lead almost all aspects of society including military and industry. We fight in the wars that keep Democracy alive. We are the majority of first responders and protectors of society. At home, we do most of the work related to maintaining our homes and our cars. Most men are the primary financial providers in their family. The list goes on and on. My wife NEEDS me, I truly don't need her in the sense of survival and maintaining a good life. I need her because I love her companionship and would be lost without her but that's emotion and love, not physical needs.

I've noticed over the years of my life whenever a divorce was mentioned there was nearly always a presumption of guilt other people placed on the man. I always heard something like "she said he was running around on her. She just couldn't take it anymore" or "well...he PROBABLY cheated on her...most men do". I realized later this was just saving face in most cases. The wife filing for divorce most often did it for selfish reasons, but needed to look justified to her peers and ALWAYS produced a sob story excuse. The excuse was always accepted and validated. Meanwhile her husband would never say a word. Men just know there is no point in explaining his side to others. They don't want to hear it or believe it.

Married 14.5 years and together 20 years total with my ex wife. As soon as the wedding was over, she slowly started changing, becoming disrespectful, ultra controlling, and our sex life went to about 3-4 times a year. I tolerated it and scrambled for answers the entire time. I gave her everything she wanted including her dream of a house on 5 acres in the country. Finally I’d reached my breaking point, had a long overdue affair, and left her. After it all fell apart, I asked her why she treated me so bad and we had such a lousy physical relationship. She admitted to being a horrible wife. She also told me that she knew how important sex was to me and said “I knew if I kept you hungry for sex, I could get you to do anything I wanted you to”. Those were her exact words. It’s been 8 years since I left her and she’s still miserable. In spite of being stuck with lifetime alimony, my life is so much better without her in it.

Lifetime alimony!! The biggest crock of . . . Relationship failures aside, our legal system needs to be completely dismantled and rebuilt. Replace the attorneys with an arbiter who tries to get the parties to agree without wasting the court's time that would be better spent on other things. If the parties can't agree, the judge orders a fire sale, and after the mutual bills are paid, the money gets split down the middle. Court costs only. No attorney fees. All these ridiculous stipulations that favor the woman's side, need to be done away with. The financial incentives alone are enough to encourage women to consider divorce, even if there is no irreconcilable difference between the married couple.

Bish was seeing someone from high school for 6 months, hiding money for 4 months. She had cops remove me on a Friday, told the kids I ran away and died. Moved fboi in on Monday. I had an 8 week no contact order and order of protection. She was violent during divorce, alienated the kids against me. I went through years of self blame, depression, homelessness, financial ruin. Oh well. Now I am free from her bs. No drama, no ultimatums, no compromises. But this experience cost me my ability to be a nice guy. I avoid women when possible. I don't want to be me tooed. Most women do not leave a marriage in a snap decision. They have been unhappy for a long time. They either "hint" to you or don't communicate it. So much for being great communicators! There is usually a trigger. Like a death, or retirement, a move, a friend moves,or kids graduate and move. Ir makes them wonder if they want to live this way...unhappy...forever. Many times, they are triggered by the attentions of a man and begin an affair. Or they have a single friend who convinces them that single life is great. In either case, they start exercising and lose weight. Then they lose the husband.

There is nothing in this world that can make an unhappy person happy but themselves, regardless whether they live in a castle or in an old hut. It doesn't matter. I never was a feminist but I am shocked what feminism has done to women. Spoiled brats with no commitment and responsibility. Whatever happens to their lives, it's a man's fault. No wonder that men no longer want to deal with that. I wouldn't either.

I thought I was a feminist, in that I support equal rights and body autonomy. But most feminists don't really want that as "equal" includes stuff like signing up for the draft when you turn 18, being responsible for your behavior regardless of your emotions, and no special privileges in family court. If you can't reverse the genders in the situation, it isn't equality.

You can see why men don’t want to date these Western women and choose to be passport bros that westerner women criticize without facts or knowledge. It Western women don’t want to treat the men it’s respect then why should they care if he finds someone else who does, after all they don’t want them. They have become fat tattooed narcissistic selfish low moral sluts with unrealistic ideals about the world with a false sense of entitlement pigs that don’t deserve any love and respect from men whom they constantly bash. Now with all the social media in her phone you are not only competing with the man down the road, the men in her workplace, but men around the world. Now I am noticing and uptick in women finding "Jesus" thinking he is the replacement for a man. With the economy the way it is, women now want us to save them and it's simply too late. I think the fairytale says both about men and about the women... The women may have their issues and their characteristics like you described, wich I won't repeat here, but the men can't be as weak as the man in the story... Who is the strongest, who is the person with the reason? Men have to use their strength and not blame the women for their own weakness. It's like Adam and Eve, who was the created first and who was in charge of everytinhg? Adam could have said no to Eve and the hole history of mankind would be another. Men have to regain control of their lifes and take the responsability for the things that happen when they don't use their power. P.s.: I love the women, they are special, they connect us to our emotions, but men need to assume their role.

@@martincoronado9232 I'm pretty sure religious women are statistically slightly better, but there is no denying that they are all doing the same things that secular women are doing. A lot of religious marriages suffer from a lack of sex. Usually its the wife cutting off the husband. When confronted about it, the response is something akin to "My Body, My Choice" which is a mantra of a different religion called feminism. In the Christian church, God's command is found in Corinthians 7. The wife cannot deny the husband nor can the husband deny the wife. Doing so is a sin. Christian women could care less. Feminism's command is much more to their liking. You will often hear them talk about having problems with being submissive as wives are instructed to do. They want to override God at their whim and yet claim the mantle of being a good Christian. Many times, this is simply for vanity...which of course breaks a different Command by taking his name in vain (better worded Though shall not use God's name for your own vanity).

When I brought this up with a potential partner, she cried, realizing she was asking for a raw deal, because, you know, she wanted a man who made about 30% more than her. So basically she was asking her man to support her improved lifestyle, likely beyond any potential divorce, and her "obligations" to the relationship were really just romantic ideals that normally fizzle out after a while and aren't legally enforceable. I remember watching an old episode of the Mary Tyler Moore show from 1973 where Lou’s wife Edie leaves Lou. She wasn’t happy. Needed to find herself and it wasn’t about Lou. Women bashed that episode in 1973 because it showed how extremely selfish and childish Edie was. Lou never stopped loving her, stopped being a provider and loving dad. Look what has happened since 1973. Women will now happily destroy their marriages because they’re unhappy. My sister in-law divorced her husband. He was making $200k a year. She had a degree in accounting but didn’t want to work. Nor did she have children for the first 12 years of their marriage. Then one day she wasn’t happy. She divorced him in a heart beat. Lied about being abusive to her and the kids. She alienated the kids from him. Then after being divorced for a year she wonders why he didn’t sent her flowers on her birthday. She took half of everything he earned. Made the kids hate him by telling lies about him. I bet he wanted to send her a bomb. Men truly need to not marry. If she can do it without warning what makes any man safe from a narcissistic wife with emotional issues.

Most traditional societies push for lifelong monogamous relationships for a reason: Don't let bad emotions ruin your family and yourself. "Tradition is a set of solutions for which we have forgotten the problems. Throw away the solution and you get the problem back. Sometimes the problem has mutated or disappeared. Often it is still there as strong as it ever was." I don't wanna say stoning people is a good way to promote healthy families, but rewarding women in court for wrecking their families - often for no good reason - is definitely not good for society. Nobody should be trapped in a toxic relationship, but everybody should be encouraged to do the work necessary (on themselves) to keep a healthy family.

This was a suggested video for me. I have been very, very happily married for 22 years and we are raising 4 boys. I found the most happiness in traditional gender roles and my husband I believe would say the same. I love being a wife and mother. The unhappiest women I see are full time working moms. They are so bitter towards their husbands. I do not know a woman happier then me. We have created a beautiful life that I sometimes wonder how I was so lucky to have the insight that I have to create it. The only downside is that I don't have a lot of friends with common interests. I recently had 10 women over and it almost instantly went to husband bashing except for my sweet Filipino friend whose husband suddenly died a year ago. I was so uncomfortable with the conversation in the room and how it must have made her feel. I tried very hard to change the subject but women just want to complain about their husbands and their husbands all have wonderful qualities. I asked my husband if men do that when they are together. He said men may make a joke about their wives but they never have full blown complaint fests the way women do. They are the better sex.
