I am from England but have lived in Thailand more than 30 years. Last year I bought a house right by the side of one of these Klongs (canal) on the other side is a Thai temple. Fantastic location and the boats are really interesting but very noisy. I don’t mind the noise except sometimes they race at full power in the early hours of the morning when most of the normal boat traffic is parked up. 2am is not a time to have 3 or 4 of theses at full power 100 meters from the bedroom.

The long boat at 70% throttle with 3 people and 500+ hp at 120km/h is the same top speed of a Seadoo jetski RXPX300RS. I topped my Seadoo at 118km/h with 300hp and a passenger. Very scary......if you hit the water at that speed it would be like hitting concrete.

The 4J series was in the Holden Jackaroo too. The 4JJ was in the later Isuzu Bighorn/Holden Jackaroo/ Isuzu Trooper. In Thailand they also use them in drag cars tricked up to 1000hp. They've become a popular choice for engine swaps due to the aftermarket support in Thailand. A good choice if you wanna build a diesel drift car i guess
