I'm in the process of making one for a Hip Hop party in September. I used 2 of the 12x 8x 1 paint boards from Lowes for the top part instead of getting 2 pieces of plywood. That way I had 4 pieces to support the top section. Used regular satin finish interior paint, with primer instead of spray paint. Works and looks great! I'm having lots of fun putting it together! Thanks for the tutorial.
