What a wonderful trip back in time. Thanks for the upload. :) By the way, the Garfield Halloween special should return to TV. I haven't seen it in years.

It is rather nostalgic and sad how AIDS made the eighties so scary at that time, if any one remembers.

+DanZero77 To answer the question about the Garfield specials, the only time I can recall any being aired recently was catching the Garfield's Christmas special on ABC Family around 2009.

The lady in the Max factor commercial sounds just like Kate Mulgrew. The 80s: When LEGOs was limited by imagination rather than predetermined pieces that only built very specific objects.

I think that lady is Jaclyn Smith. You're right though, she sounds like Kate Mulgrew.

I don't know why, but that Apple Cinnamon Squares commercial really speaks to me. Gotta be the side ponytail.

Man, that Cherry Coke ad reminds me a lot of the SNL '86 season opening credits.

0:00--I was expecting the "Cheese, glorious cheese" jingle (based on "Food, Glorious Food" from the musical Oliver), but I liked this one just as much. 0:30--Back when Long John Silver's used "Seafood Shoppe" as part of its branding. 1:50--I miss seeing the Charlie Brown specials on over-the-air TV! Wish they'd show the Garfield ones again too. 1:58 and 2:55--Wow; KELO! I used to watch that station when visiting my grandparents in southwest Minnesota (they lived in the Sioux Falls TV market area). The call letters are pronounced to rhyme with "yellow." 4:22--One of many great jingles that Coca-Cola has used through the years, and I had pretty much forgotten about that one. 4:51--I am guessing that is the real Orville Redenbacher? I think he was still living back then. 5:52--You can get so many specialty Lego kits nowadays, but do they still make the "Universal Building Set" of my youth? 6:30--What ever happened to those Tyson chicken entrees? 7:01--Ditto for Apple Cinnamon Squares. Wish they'd bring those back. The jingle is pretty darn catchy, too. 7:32--One of many great jingles that Wrigley's has used through the years. 8:03--I loved that Fresno miniseries! It was a spoof of shows like Dallas and Dynasty, which were popular back then.

It seems that commercials from around 1986 are the ones I remember most vividly. It must be because of the age I was then.

The Cherry Coke ad looks exactly the same as the opening credits to Saturday Night Live around this time period. I wonder if the same agency had a role in both.

Since the Peanuts specials moved from CBS to ABC, I don't think the Garfield shows went there either. That Cheese ad -- Wuh? Enough station IDs there KELO-TV? He must have went to the Wendy's at the MALL! Hershey's Kisses kid got beat up shortly after the ad finished. Interesting note about "The Wizard" -- After finding out the series was going to be canceled in its first season, the producers tried starting a letter-writing campaign to its viewers keep the show going. Sadly, it failed.

I am all about 80's music, movies and TV and I have never heard of the series "Kay O' Brien" until now. Since these ads aired in October, it must have been part of CBS' 86-87 new fall lineup. Something tells me "Kay-O" got KO'D before the end of '86.

Regional cheese?!?!?! WOW!!!!!! was this b/f Jaclyn Smith started designing for KMart? blue eyeshadow. So 80's I LOVE Garfield's Halloween. I have it on DVD. Hershey's Kisses kid needs a child psychologist the phrase "post-menstrual douche" was uttered on network TV?! the voiceover for the Lego ad is the same as the one for Smuckers, I think "consummation...and consternation" those apple cinnamon squares look pretty good

I LIKE the kid in the Hershey's Kisses commercial they need to use REALISTIC kids in commercials today...That kid seemed like a more unique type and less "cool" cookie cutter type of kid.

@madgang201 The Wizard was a show about an inventor/toymaker (Who is also a midget) getting into wacky adventures. It lasted for just under a season. I'll be posting more commercial breaks taken from this show for the next 10 volumes.
