Such a blast from my past, I remember my dad taping this for me as a kid and I watched it over and over again. Not only is Alice in Wonderland one of my all-time faves, I even liked the commercials when I was little.

I know that Battle for Endor was much darker and more violent than The Ewok Adventure, but it's still funny to see a Parental Discretion label on an Ewok movie.

@@butterbook I can't say I agree with your whole statement . After the 80's faded the 90's boomed with their own pop culture. Once the 90's faded the early 2000's boomed again with their own pop culture. The reason it seems like the 80's are everywhere today is because the kids who actually grew up in the 80's (not born in) were going through a 80's nostalgic boom. In the next few months you'll see a swing from the 80's to the 90's nostalgic boom in pop culture. So if you were born in the mid 80's and remember the 90's fondly you're in for a treat.

@@BrickSaturn Nostalgia for the 1980s has been in vogue since the early-mid 2000's, or even before that. People are nostalgic for this period of history because it had great music, movies and TV shows and most importantly it was essentially the last period of human history before the world was changed by the internet and smart phones. It's extremely myopic to chalk nostalgia for this period of time up as just some fleeting cyclical or temporary generational thing.

These commercials were really fun to watch! We've got one more day till Christmas, especially for the next volume. Believe it or not, I still have my VHS copy of E.T. & it's still a great film.

Santa Claus: The Movie is weird and corny and I love every second of it. I'll tell you that FOR FREEEEEEEEEE!?

It was unfairly panned, but the way I see it is if you ever wanted to see a Christmas movie that was filmed like the '78 Superman film, complete with John Lithgow channeling Lex Luthor, then it's perfect

I was of an age then and I've never seen it. I remember it but I thought it was weird looking judging by the commercials of the time. I have a more "refined" palette now. AKA I love weird and cheesy, I should revisit.

WABC - truly a gift for me to see this year! With the classic glitch returning years later! Despite being from the area I have NO idea what that Alice In Wonderland doll was about! First time I saw it too but seeing how it was on during the local ad insertion it must have been a New York thing.

5:00 - Wow, those Smurf and California Raisin costumes for the Ice Capades look pretty low rent. Kind of remind me of those cheap, costumed characters you see walking around Times Square. "It really doesn't get any better than this"? I highly doubt it, Kirk.

I was 10 at the time, and remember this ABC lineup because even though we were at my extended family's Christmas party that night, part of me wanted to hang out upstairs and watch these movies! Throw some Muppets into this lineup of ads, and maybe She-Ra or Jem, and this WAS all my childhood joys together at last! Star Wars! Ice Capades! Disney stuff! E.T.! Dudley Moore!

Toys R Us- Geoffrey The Giraffe is holding that kid's hand rather awkwardly. Dominos- I always like that phone rendition of "Jingle Bells". Who knows what other songs you can play just by dialing phone numbers? 9 Lives- "*Sigh* Teacher's Pet." Yeah, Morris. Simply following your owner to school can elevate you to that status in no time.

WABC Station ID-BLLUUMM-BLOOSDF(translation) Ewoks: The Battle For Endor-Disney maybe should do another Ewok film..(though the sequel trilogy overall was substandard, loved Wicket's cameo with his son at the end of Rise Of Skywalker) The Ice Capades With Kirk Cameron-no Christmas Carol protests here 9 Lives-Morris should avoid the two school bullies named Garfield and Heathcliff Incredible Sunday-revival of That's Incredible? Mission Impossible-it would be a while before a CIA agent named Ethan Hunt joined the team Santa Claus: The Movie-shame we never got a sequel where SC battled Krampus
