I was probably watching this showing of Ghostbusters, as I had been crazy about the film since seeing it at the theater when I was 7. I had the toys, watched the cartoon, went as a Ghostbuster for Halloween of 85, and you can bet I was anxiously awaiting the sequel that was coming out the year these commercials aired.

My first car was a 98' Eclipse convertible...and boy do I miss that car. Bought it brand new off of the lot 💜. Surprisingly gave me no problems whatsoever..drove her until 2 yrs. ago when I accidentally went over a curb on a stormy night, and both right tires went out. Also there was quite alot of underside rust ( I live in snowy MinneSNOWta) and the friction from hitting the curb put a huge hole in it, and that was the end. It was a cute little coupe.

The car advertised here was a 1G Eclipse. It was completely redesigned for the ‘95 model year.

Ruthless People is a funny film that has kind of been forgotten over time. DeVito is great in it. I need to watch that one again.

That guy who narrated the Hoover commercial has such a distinctive voice and I've also heard him in several movie trailers from the time, such as Gremlins 2 and Clerks.

power windows back then was one of those cool, new features to look forward to in a car upgrade as long as it was affordable.

Worryfree Carpet- That tightrope scene looks like a fever dream that the man might have had at some point. Cheetos- I bet getting your foot run over that many times and flattened to a size as big as monster truck tire is every bit as painful as it looks, even in a cartoon.

Never knew how to use a fax machine though my mom had one just gathering dust at my childhood home. Only learned how to use a photo copier machine in 2012 😆😆

Take a look at Hardy Rawls clearly glancing down at his cue card as he finishes saying "Who does it?"

In 2017 the Mitsubishi Eclipse was a crossover .... I wonder they were advertising an ‘88 Royale in ‘89?

9:13 in the 80s and earlier 90s before the internet got big lots of politically incorrect jokes and weird stuff was sent by fax. Like Hustler knockoff cartoons and fake contracts and wacky lists and stuff like that. The type of stuff that would be sent by e-mail forwards later on. This is what I mean. www.wikiwand.com/en/Faxlore
