I was a kid in the 80s so these are cool. I’m 43 so I enjoy some of the 90s also since those are the teen years. These commercials are so innocent compared to what we get now

This has been my favorite vid you have put out!!! After school cartoons, then play outside till dark. My kids love watching G1 transformers, such is one of the coolest things as a dad. All of my toys finally came out of storage and are on display in their rooms. 👍👍👍 I have not seen the LDS commercials in forever. The boy Scout troop I was in as at a LDS church.

Nice to see the unedited Transformers toy commercials. It’s nice that the DVD sets had them, but the fact that they had to blur out the kids’ faces (like to avoid having to pay any royalties) ends up making them unintentionally creepy.

Honestly, I don't mind the Transformers commercial bumpers in this volume. Seeing them reminds me of the times I used to watch episodes of Transformers as a kid, & the phrases "Transformers will return after these messages" & "We now return to Transformers" truly takes me back to my childhood.

The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints - I always enjoy the creativity of those PSAs, even when they have absolutely nothing to do with religion whatsoever. The first PSA looks like a montage intro to a sitcom. Popeyes Chicken- 🎶Love That Chicken From Popeyes! 🎶 Interesting to see that they had the same jingle back then as they do now. Hostess Pudding Pie- That girl looks like she's enjoying that pudding pie far too much. No wonder that boy seemed creeped out by her.

This is an excellent set. I didn't know Go-Bots were still around by January 1987. By fall of 1985, I almost completely ignored them. Those Hostess Pudding Pies commercials piqued my interest for them. Now the thought of those things kind of disgusts me.

I'm dating the contents of the tape being from early 1987 mainly on the Transformers Duocon commercial (They were definitely an '87 product) and the comment about "just in time for your income tax refunds" at 0:39. I think this station was a little behind the times with their cartoon lineup.

It's definitely 1987, the bumpers show Ultra Magnus and Rodimus Prime, both introduced in Transformers the movie in August 1986 (which I saw in theaters). Also, the GI Joe commercials show Dr Mindbender and the Battle Android Troopers, which were introduced in the Fall 1986 season. And yeah, the "tax refund" comment points to it being early 1987.

JOE Marvel Comics-i still have that very issue..sadly the boat fight wasnt like the one depicted in the ad :( Gobots-had always thought Turbo sounds like Yosemite Sam "Transformers" Commercial Bumper 2-Grimlock, the Dinobots and Shockwave were completely wasted in the live-action Bayformers
